After months of being targeted by U.S.-led airstrikes, losing ground in Iraq and suffering defeat in a weeks-long assault to capture the Syrian border town of Kobani, is the Islamic State flagging and putting out feelers to see if a truce might be possible? Or is it just seeking to sow confusion in the ranks of its opponents and to undermine their unity and resolve by raising the idea of negotiations?
Intriguingly, the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL, floated the idea on Tuesday of a negotiated truce in the latest issue of the militants English-language magazine Dabiq, via an article written by one of the groups remaining Western hostages, British photojournalist John Cantlie.

Truce gives them time to rearm.
It’s too late now ISIS. Unconditional surrender is your only hope to live. And by “live” I mean in a prison to await trial.
A truce in Islamic tradition is merely a rest period for the attackers to rearm and reload in preparation for another sneak attack.
Hudna is the only kind of truce the quran allows.
A Hudna is used to secure a break in hostilities to allow the muslim side to re-arm and re-train.
By quranic law muslims MUST renew hostilities within ten years.
the ole “truce” while we re-supply trick!
The rag heads are smart when it come to this type tactic.
No truce.
More bombs.
Less Islam.
Exterminate them then declare a truce.
Great job for Kerry after he gives Iran everything they demand.
Anything less is immoral and criminal.
ISIS adopted the no limits, no prisoners warfare approach. Sorry but a truce is no can do. Kill them all.
They want a “Hudnah.”
This is the term for a truce to re-arm and regroup. The Daesh wants to consolidate its hold on the areas it has subdued, re-stock arms and ammo, recruit more fighters, then resume the offensive at a time of its own choosing.
The only ceasefire that should apply to them is when every one of them has gone room temp.
There’s a story that, before the battle of Stamford Bridge, the Viking leader Harald Hardrada asked King Harold of England what he would offer the invaders in exchange for peace. Harold is said to have replied: “All I will give you is six feet of English soil.” The same punishment should apply to these vermin. If you don’t crush this movement completely you are only guaranteeing its re-emergence in a few years. I probably wouldn’t go as far as lining the Basra road with their crucified bodies, but if you don’t leave a vivid image of the fate of these murderous fanatics, they will return...
No hudnas, push on until they are burned off the face of the earth.
For those who don’t know, a hudna is a truce designed to allow jihadis to rest and re-arm.
“You’ll pardon me if I remain skeptical...... “
Yeah, they actually took and continue to hold Kobani... Tikrit is still in their clutch... and they’ll take Baghdad any day now.
Behold... the captive mind of an ISIS/Liberal propaganda victim.
Clue: they have been getting the F’in sh##@te kicked-out of them since last summer by coalition airstrikes. Continual ISR and strike vectoring - 24/7. At this point they are devoid of in-theater leadership and are reduced to small, loosely aligned groups spread out over large areas acting for the most part autonomous from one another. The fact that the IA can roll them up is an indication of the extent of their degradation.
Quick, call ISIS and the MSM and declare defeat and withdrawl before ISIS is totally mopped up....
If it were up to me, I would say, bring me the heads of all your commanders and anyone that has killed people on all those insidious videos, then we will talk peace.
Answer = HELL NO!!! (next question?)
Butchering Raping B@$t@rds!!!
Viet Cong after ArcLight strikes.
Kerry will believe them.
