I'd really, really like to see Radio Shack survive. Even more, I'd like to see them get back into the business of selling smaller electronic parts, even if they only stocked the most popular and had an on-line ordering and pick-up capability for the rest.

There were a great store once upon a time. The back wall with all the resistors and other electronic components was my adult toy land.
I worked at Radio Shack for over three years as a part time job while I was in the Air Force and then while I went to college. I used my employee discount to build a lot of projects and I still have a couple of large tackle boxes full of components.
