Perhaps Indiana Gove. Mike Pence and state lawmakers should revisit the religious freedom legislation. Theyve officially lost NASCAR , a sport that, despite its growing diversity, still has a strong conservative base.
NASCAR is disappointed by the recent legislation passed in Indiana, said NASCAR Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer Brett Jewkes, in a statement released Tuesday.
We will not embrace nor participate in exclusion or intolerance. We are committed to diversity and inclusion within our sport and therefore will continue to welcome all competitors and fans at our events in the state of Indiana and anywhere else we race.

Typical NASCAR these days, concerned for the children, blacks, women, fruit cakes, ... but money drives them first. They wouldn't dare cancel a race.
I guess that is what they are saying. I made the mistake of posting a comment on a yahoo story about this and people went after me. There is very little real understanding what this law is about, and the mediots are keeping it rolling. Wow. First Amendment? Getting weaker by the day. Once it goes, the rest of the Bill of Rights tumble after.
Well, in his defense he has to worry about the reaction of all of those gay NASCAR fans.

?????
Pity.
Not just the Brickyard but all races in states with similar laws.
Its going to take a hell of a bite.
NASCAR goes to the dark side.
“Shut up and race.”
nailed it.
I have had friends that were gay, no longer. The sodomite community is doing everything they can to isolate themselves from the straight 98%.
Did one of their black drivers read the announcement?
The National Association of Stock Car Racing races cars that have not one part from a stock car. Do not expect them to make any sense at all.
OK, so where do we go to express our viewpoint to NASCAR Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer Brett Jerks. This guy has no place in “our” sport. Politically correct to no end. What purpose does his statement serve? Keep your opinions to yourself or express them as your personal opinion. Do not include me by implying I also support your stupid opinion.
...and the horse they rode in on.
That’s actually a shame because whenever I meet a new person...a new colleague, a customer, someone on the street....rarely if ever is my first question to them “who or what do you bang?”
Utterly stupid’: NASCAR weighs in on Indiana RFRA law with puzzling statement
Dear @Nascar: We watch your sport to ESCAPE politics. How about reading the Indiana law’s text before spouting off leftist talking points?
It is ridiculous. What are the odds that NASCAR actually read the law? Or the similar laws in other states where they race?
just STOP!!! @NASCAR @BJewkes @NASCARONFOX 19 States Have Religious Freedom Laws Similar to Indianas
Either NASCAR forgot who it’s audience was or it’s audience demographics are changing.
“All systems (organizations) eventually grow to a size that opposes their original purpose.” Systemanics by John Gall.
Thats actually a shame because whenever I meet a new person...a new colleague, a customer, someone on the street....rarely if ever is my first question to them who or what do you bang?
That is exactly my point. I don’t want to know what goes on in ANYONE’S bedroom.
