I know that I should say something about the backlash and debate over Indianas version of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, but its been hard to come up with something that I didnt already say in my column when it was Arizonas variation on the same law, vetoed under pressure, that was in the news. That column made the case that the only remaining question in the same-sex marriage debate was what kind of space, if any, an ascendant cultural liberalism would leave to Americans with traditional views on what constitutes a marriage; that the correlation of forces (corporate now as well as cultural and legal) was such that the choice of exactly how far to push and how much pluralism to permit would be almost entirely in the hands of liberals and supporters of same-sex marriage. Thats still basically how it looks to me today: Elements of the Indiana debate have been particularly
striking, but none of it has been particularly surprising given how this played out in Arizona.

This is not about freedom at all. It is about forcing the militants LGBT agenda on America.
Lets see how it goes when the state forces a Muslim owned and operated printing company to print and distribute derogatory cartoons about Mohamey.
This media narrative about LGBTXYZ is hiding the cluster that is the Obama regime. Iran cluster. Israel cluster. EPA cluster. DOJ cluster. Weekend of golf cluster. Ex-intelligence chief declaring entire Mideast cluster.
Worst _resident ever. Spit.
Try going to Dearborn, Michigan, and visit a Muslim owned bakery and have them make a cake with the image of Mohammed on it. Then the Libs would be all against that.
Worse. It's about abusing the power of the state to drive a top-down (im)morality in direct contravention of the will of the People.
It strikes straight at the heart of individual liberty and conscience.
It won’t stop until homeschooled kids are required to watch gay porno films for ‘educational’ purposes. Parents that refuse will be declared unfit and their kids will be sent to gay foster ‘parents’.
Every race, LBGT, feminist etc. agenda can be pushed to the fullest as a matter of a cultural revolution or culture war that conservatives, as Douhat admits, are losing or have lost. But dissent will be driven inside, become hidden and still exists in ways that we can only now imagine. Perhaps cakes that must be sold to gays will taste really bad.
Next Job for you Governor is to end the HIGH Crime rates in your home town of Indianapolis and Gary as a start.
Its OK to kill people in Indianapolis but its not OK for some to keep CAKE from LGBT?
