“Grooming”—I would like someone to explain this term, its history—it seems rather recent in extraction, but seeing it used in this context is always startling. When did sexual assault become “grooming”—is it just a new term for seduction?So, "grooming" appears to be a pc term invented by the press to protect the ROP from unfavorable publicity?

No Grooming is a term from the police and counseling community. It describes how an adult who is interested n an underage sexual objective, will do things to attract the younger one, make the younger one feel comfortable, ingratiate themselves into the younger one’s family so they feel comfortable with leaving the younger one with the perp.
