Tim Cook: Apple Will Oppose Bills Like Indiana's 'Religious Freedom' Law
Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook on Sunday broadened his criticism of a new law in Indiana, which opponents say could be used to discriminate against gay people, to other states that he says have similar laws.
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act into law Thursday, sparking an outcry from those, including Cook, who say it could be used to protect businesses that refuse to serve gay people. The law's supporters say it will prevent the government from forcing business owners from providing services that go against their religious beliefs.
"These bills rationalize injustice by pretending to defend something many of us hold dear," Cook wrote in a Washington Post op-ed, referring not only to Indiana's law, which goes into effect in July, but also to those of "more than two dozen states."

Apple should oppose restrictions on Personal Liberty.
Imagine how the liberals would howl if a huge corporation promoted a conservative cause.
There are huge corporations that are quite conservative, but they don’t go screaming about it in public.
I have never bought an Apple product, never will. I just like the windows platform better. It is one thing to proud of what you are, another to see its morality, or immorality. Tim cannot see the difference as he has no basis for his morality except for what he feels. As I have always said, and will never back down, the homosexual movement is all about acceptance, not tolerance. Who the hell are you to tell us we are not normal? I will not allow a superficial “morality” thrust on me, ever. Tolerance does not mean acceptance.

For this kind of thing, and others, I refuse to buy or use Apple products. An Apple a day...does not compute!

It’s not discrimination to let business owners refuse to sell to someone. It is however discrimination to force business owners to sell to whomever they don’t want to.
This isn’t a government issue anyways, this is a free market problem.
If owners don’t want to sell to gay people, businessman can open a store and sell to gay people.
If there is a market someone will fill the demand.

The libertarian side of me believes that the government shouldn't enforce any discrimination laws, that people should be free to discriminate to anyone they choose.
But I also can't stand all of the self -righteous, probably closet homos, who pick and choose what sins they want to be offended about.

hmm. only Christian small businessowners are being sued by homosexuals so it seems you don’t hold dear Religious Freedom.
I’ve never owned one of their products and now I never will.
This guy might well be a money/profit maker but he is not one appointed or righteous enough to make societal decisions. I have been thinking of buying/trying some Apple trinkets but will shut down the feeling. I will also try to convince other people that Apple sees a dedicated role to twist US societal values.
