Tim Cook: Apple Will Oppose Bills Like Indiana's 'Religious Freedom' Law
Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook on Sunday broadened his criticism of a new law in Indiana, which opponents say could be used to discriminate against gay people, to other states that he says have similar laws.
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act into law Thursday, sparking an outcry from those, including Cook, who say it could be used to protect businesses that refuse to serve gay people. The law's supporters say it will prevent the government from forcing business owners from providing services that go against their religious beliefs.
"These bills rationalize injustice by pretending to defend something many of us hold dear," Cook wrote in a Washington Post op-ed, referring not only to Indiana's law, which goes into effect in July, but also to those of "more than two dozen states."

Like I said, when comes to a choice of conservative principals and your devotion to that company, you people will sell out the right quicker than you can say iOS.

It is not about Tim Cooks sexuality, it is about his willingness to enlist the state to force people to violate their religious beliefs. He is dangerous because of people like you who weigh their Iphones against freedom and come down on the side of the Iphone.
The way I see it, is that anyone can enlist the state to have people adhere to one political view or another. The point is, as far as I’m concerned, is to get involved with your legislator and have them act in the way, politically, that you know is best.
I’ll lobby my legislator and I’ll support my position by the ballot box, and I have always done that. I’ll continue doing that. I’m in Oklahoma and it’s already listed as one of those states having a similar law and I have never had a problem with it and I have never lobbied my legislators against it and I have no intention of trying to push back and get that law off the books. I’m not in Indiana, so the people there will have to vote with their own legislators, as I can’t do that. I’m already doing that with my own legislators!
As far as products and services are concerned, I’ll continue buying all my products and services according to what SERVES ME THE BEST, as that’s the whole point to the Free Enterprise system in that companies make the “best product available” so that customers will buy their product and not another product. That’s exactly what I’m doing! I intend to keep right on doing that in the free enterprise system and I intend to keep right on voting for the legislators who will support the conservative position in laws that they put into place, here in Oklahoma and whenever I have a vote on the national elections!
