Courtesy of BizPac: Secretary of State John Kerry allegedly responded in a most unusual way to a reporter’s question Friday whether a nuclear arms deal could be reached with Iran before the March 31 deadline.
“Allah willing,” Kerry replied — in Arabic, according to Laura Rozen, a reporter covering the Iran nuclear talks in Lausanne, Switzerland, for the Washington, D.C.-based online publication, Al-Monitor.
As news reached the public Friday that a deal may be forthcoming, Rozen tweeted:

The constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran does recognize Arabic as connected to the state religion, and this constitution orders that students be taught Arabic. I don't know just how well Iranians in general understand Arabic as a result, but "inshallah" shouldn't be the hardest thing to recognize, Kerry willing. So isn't that an interesting word choice on his part?
Basically, you’re correct. The phrase is thrown off whenever any discussion of the future comes up. When can we expect payment on that 60 days past due invoice, Ahmed? “Bukra in’sha’llah” (tomorrow if Allah wills it). We might say “Lord willin’ and the creek don’t rise”. Another almost automatic conversation filler is “Al ham’dullah” (Praise Allah) used when anything positive happens. Kerry’s use of the first phrase in the context of this incredibly stupid sellout is a sickening example of kowtowing to people who have every intention of murdering us all.
That’s what we love about Jengis John. He’s so authentic and natural. We’ve been using the phrase “Insha’Allah” in New England for a wicked long time and will be long into the future, Deo volenti.
