Flightaware shows they circled several times west of the airport(hold?)...possibly waiting for visibility conditions to improve to minimums at the airport...or other.

Flightaware shows they circled several times west of the airport(hold?)...If they had enough fuel for that, maybe they could have gone somewhere else.
