Though Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) recently praised Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel (D) for making Chicago the friendliest city for immigrants, especially illegal immigrants, pro-amnesty advocates and progressives are lining up beyond his opponent, Jesus Chuy Garcia, who is in a dead heat with Emanuel in the mayoral runoff.
(SNIP)
He told targeted Democrats in tough re-election fights that he wanted them to vote for this anti-immigrant bill, Gutierrez said then. Thats a fact, an irrefutable fact. So its nice that Rahm Emanuel the candidate is for the DREAM Act kids now, but actions speak louder than words.

Don’t believe the hype. It’s not even close. Rahm has the Chicago machine and will win by mile.
I want every friggin’ 0 supporter to go down in humiliating flames.
Well, lol, I wouldn’t vote for Obamas brother Rahm if u had a gun to my head.
So, I guess that would leave “Jesus” if I was a Chicagoan.
Chuy is in the pocket of the teachers’ union.
Hey Rahm, You wanted ‘em now ya got ‘em.
anything to send a message to obammy that we hate his guts,
even voting for Jesus Chuy Garcia,
Cheating?
In Chicago?
Perish the thought.
Obama is backing Rahm.
Thanks ... I got that one wrong...
I live in Mundelein. Although the Chicago elections are nonpartisan, do you think that a Republican should have run? I don’t think a Republican could win, but he or she would have been in the run-off, since the anti-republican vote would have split among four or five candidates. If the Republican did well enough, in April, that would have caused more Republicans to run for Congress and the state legislature, in 2016.
Thing is the Chicago Machine...alderman..precinct captains...ward bosses...the whole get out the vote... All democrats.
