It's an anniversary date, but at 36 years it's not one that normally requires the amount of reflection 20, 40 or 50 years after the fact would necessitate.
Still, you can never do too much on it, considering the crisis at Three Mile Island that began in the early morning of March 28, 1979, ranks among the top couple of events to ever affect Harrisburg and the midstate. Its repercussions still are being felt today.

Still big suckers.

My theory is that if nuclear power was able to progress here like in other countries the reactors and powerplants would be dozens of times more safe, several times more powerful, and about the size of a large house.

No one died at Three Mile Island.
No one.
No public property was destroyed or rendered unusable.
None.
Repeated studies have shown no long-term health effects of the TMI incident whatsoever.
Not a one.
TMI wasn't even a disaster, let alone the cataclysm the bunny-huggers would have you believe it was.

So it was sabotage? How did no one ever get charged?

Apparently they never found out who did it.
The media beinng 100% anti nuke didn’t help.

I busted a gut when they actually had Rodney Dangerfield come out to explain just how big the President was..
