SISTERON, France — The German co-pilot accused of crashing a passenger plane in the French Alps frequented a gliding club near the crash site as a child with his parents, according to a member of the club.
Francis Kefer, a member of the club in the town of Sisteron, said on i-Tele television that Andreas Lubitz' family and other members of the gliding club in his home town of Montabaur, Germany, came to the region regularly between 1996 and 2003.

What a pickle medical privacy turns out to be, legally. Personally, I don’t think it’s fair to Lufthansa. They were not allowed to see what doctors were screaming out about. I believe a change needs to be made, worldwide. Someone in a job in which lives are at stake like pilot may need to sign away some forms of medical privacy upon employ.
The employee would have to fill out forms guaranteeing any finding by medical professionals that he is unfit for duty will be told his employer, period. I don’t think STDs or HIV rises to unfitness. But ths guy — he was a time bomb and Lufthansa had no way of knowing.
For the good of society they should pay out for these survivors but I do NOT see negligence. They did everything they legally could.

With the exception, the Leftists are simply wrong. On the other hand, Islam is in fact perpetrating atrocities on a regular basis... which includes using civilian aircraft as a weapon.
I am here merely marking my own words. He was a jihadist and he was a homosexual. And, yes, all terrorists are by definition jihadists and all jihadists are Muslim. This is not reductionist. It is logic 101.
That many mass murders are committed by Islamists does not mean any particular mass murder is.
Think of it as profiling. Islamists fit the profile for mass murderers. But the perpetrator of any given crime may or may not fit the profile.
