Imagine if your daughter was in Italy, just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. She is falsely accused, your neighbours in the States are either saying she is guilty or they do not know if she is guilty (really same thing)
How would you feel?
She has been completely exonerated, not just that there was not enough evidence, but they totally exonerated her, cleared her, and some of your neighbours continue to say they are either unsure or that she is guilty, you would not feel good about them, and you would be right.
Now if this were my child, I would welcome her home for a lovely tea and a (1) scone, before whisking her off to begin her new life as Sister Clare at the Convent of the Poor Clares of County Clare.
