Seems like just another politician hankering for power any way he can.

I’d be perfectly happy to vote for Walker in the general election. Despite rhetoric, I look at actual physical actions and results.

He has done well for Wisconsin.

He doesn’t fall under “Crawl on broken glass to vote for,” which is reserved for Sarah Palin or Ted Cruz, but I have no major issues. And he certainly does not fall under “Stay home and/or vote downticket only” like Jebe Arbusto

No idea. I only know I’m not going to vote for him. Don’t think I’ll go for Cruz eithet, still think Perry is the man for the hour, me and 4% of people polled!

Three separate sources at the dinner confirmed Walker’s remarks to the Journal.

All three were Bush supporters.

Other people have said Walker made it clear he does not believe in a path to citizenship for illegals.

Like Ted Cruz, Walker says they will not be deported and can get work permits, but not US Citizenship.

Well damn, that sure was quick.

Ted Cruz is done too, I guess.

Who’s left? Jeb Bush?

I don’t know about this. I’d like to see the three sources identified by name.

Especially since, after Romney’s 47% screw up last cycle, EVERY GOP candidate should be aware that there’s no such thing as a “private” meeting.

Walker seems a lot smarter than to make that kind of mistake. If he really said that there’s an equally troubling issue in addition to support for amnesty and being two-faced on the issue: why he’d be so stupid to think he could get away with saying something like that.

So, like I said, I want more information on the ones making these allegations, or audio/video of him doing so..

...or...the opposition is throwing out whatever it can to see what sticks ...to undermine conservatives.

For instance, in the last two days, I've read about alleged sexual harassment charges against Allen West and that Cruz allegedly wanted to increase the H-1B cap by 500%. Both claims were sufficiently debunked.

This next election cycle will prove to be very challenging for folks to separate the wheat from the chaff given the immutable hostility of the RINO faction against Conservatives.

Bet there is a tape out there somewhere, doctored or not. This is how “they” plan to take Walker out.

Curious how the author of this piece doesn’t even use his/her real name, preferring to go under the alias of “Newsmachete.” With all that “openness” he/she could be a Bushbot, Clintonoid, or Obamunist. It would be nice to have a bit of disclosure.

anonymous BS don't fall for it.

You see, when you use an anonymous source... you can say ANYTHING. I heard from an anonymous source for instance that Hillary was seen eating aborted babies.

See how that works?

Frankly, I think we do ourselves a disservice by focusing on the amnesty question too much. The first order of business has to be stopping the inflow of illegals entering the country. How we deal with the ones already here is a question to be tackled later - because it won’t do one whit of good if we don’t secure the border first.

Deport them? An open border lets them waltz right back in.

Give them any kind of amnesty? The next ones coming in will just start making demands all over.

No solution is a good solution as long as it doesn’t address the most important issue.

I judge people on their records. Talk is cheap. Walker in Wisconsin has shown one thing most politicians don't have. Balls.

While Mike Pence is my first choice if he runs, I can vote for Walker. I can vote for Cruz. I will not participate in some BS circular firing squad against the good, but not perfect, people running. When we get involved in purity tests, we lose to the democrats. We also get stuck with our worst choices for nominee like in 2008 and 2012. McCain? Romney?

The problem in 2012 is that everyone savagely attacked anyone conservative running to clear the field for someone who wasn't even running (Sarah Palin). The same people then turned on Palin for "betraying" them because she didn't run.

Right now, there is one guy to attack. Jeb Bush.

Scott Walker is the only candidate who has a consistent record of conservative achievement.

Amnesty is a straw dog set up to prevent any rational discussion of the immigration issue.

Walker has too many positives going for him to succumb to the little whirlwinds created by anonymous sources.

He may not be done, but he is well cooked After a behind closed doors meeting...WTP are left to wonder ‘Why?” Like the man, top contender for some time, but now, not so certain he is solid on the amnesty issue. Looked forward to a ticket of SW and Sen Cruz. Now it’s Cruz - one who is unafraid to tell it like it is.

Is Walker done? Depends. If conservatives continue to be gullible suckers for every half-baked dirty tricks event, then Walker is done, and so are the chances of every other candidate.

The way that Republicans jumped on the WSJ story based on "3 anonymous sources" of an old "closed private meeting " reported by a single journalist, gives me little hope that conservatives are smart enough to prevent yet another debacle.

The one person in the room named is Jennifer Horn, NH Party Chair, who lists herself as a “journalist” and was supported for the position by not-very-conservative Congressman Charles Bass of the powerful Bass family. His dad, Perkins Bass, and Grand-dad Robert Bass were both congressmen, Robert, with Theodore Roosevelt, claimed to be a co-founder of the Progressive Party.

Bass.3 is strongly pro-abortion and supportive of the EPA, one of the very least conservative members of the GOP in the House. Was Bass in the meeting, too? Is he part of this fabrication? I guarantee you he is not a Walker supporter.
