For crying out loud, Cruz simply trumpeted traditional principles and values that Americans have celebrated since the Republic's founding: American exceptionalism, liberty, freedom, hard work, God, and country. The problem is that without even realizing it, many have succumbed to the left successfully tainting their thinking, lowering the nation's behavioral bar, and forcing political correctness down our throats. So when a Ted Cruz comes along, his message sounds edgy to those hearing it for the first time. And yet I believe that many will be drawn instinctively to it.
Why? Because conservatism connects with our higher self/spirit. It inspires people to be the best they can be. That is what attracted me to conservatism.
Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice...and follow me.” Without a miracle, conservatism will not resonate with lazy deadbeats filled with class envy and hatred for achievers. It is a foreign language to them. All they care about is handouts and a free ride. Let the Democrats continue pandering to them, the chickens and turtles. Let's take the higher ground, striving to attract eagles that I believe are a majority of the American people. This is why the left is so terrified of Cruz: he knows how to spread the good news of conservatism.
Folks, we must stop Obama's quest to diminish who we are, reducing us to a nation of part-time workers, dependent on and subservient to big government. In the name of our founding fathers, we are Americans! Let's act like it!
Both sides going nuts over Cruz's bold, upbeat, and inspiring articulation of conservatism illustrates what we are up against. Even conservatives are saying Cruz is too this or not enough that. Some conservatives feel that Cruz so boldly preaching conservatism on the big stage is a little embarrassing and scary,

Gawd can you imagine a debate between Cruz and Hillary? I’d pay good money to see that.
Mr. Cruz quoted #4 recently... verbatim.
I
Thou shalt create an illusion of invulnerability shared by most members to foster excessive optimism and encourage extreme risks taking
II
Thou shall not allow any member to question the group's inherent morality, instead members shall be encouraged to ignore the ethical or moral consequences of their decisions
III
Thou shalt promote collective efforts to rationalize in order to discount warnings, or other information that might lead members to reconsider their assumptions before they recommit themselves to their assumptions
IV
Thou shalt reinforce stereotyped views of enemy leaders as too evil to warrant genuine attempts to negotiate, or as too weak and stupid to counter whatever risky attempts are made to defeat their purpose
V
Thou shalt self-censor any deviation from the apparent group consensus, inclining each member to minimize the importance of their doubts and counterarguments
VI
Thou shalt create and maintain a shared illusion of unanimity concerning judgement conforming to the majority view
VII
Thou shalt apply direct pressure on any member who expresses strong arguments against any of the group's stereotypes, illusions, or commitments, making clear that this type of dissent is contrary to what is expected of all loyal members
VIII
Thou shalt appoint mind guards to protect the group from adverse information that might shatter their shared complacency about the effectiveness and morality of their decisions

“reducing us to a nation of part-time workers,”
Obama’s policies have taken people from full time work to part time work. Since socialism is unable to create real jobs, the Rats want to replace lost income from lost hours by raising the minimum wage.

I donated. Everyone needs to.
Cruz handles the negative attention well. He’s turning well to his advantage the old saying, “even negative publicity is good.”
All these wild-eyed BS stories about Cruz will make him all the more intriguing, and cause people to hear him first-hand. When people finally go into receive mode and actually hear what the man has to say, they’ll find he’s not the boogeyman the “media” wants them to believe he is.
We have all noted the hysteria from The Left that has accompanied the Cruz announcement. There are, I believe, two major reasons for this. I think those reasons are that the Libs secretly believe:
1. He could win.
2. Things will get better when he does.
What will be interesting to watch is the reaction of The Left when the other GOP candidates officially announce. I expect to be able to hear a pin drop as opposed to the massive thunder we heard in response to the Cruz announcement.
The exact problem.
Same here.
I like his response when interviewers challenge him about being too conservative. He lists his positions on some of the key topics and then asks what of all that sounds so extreme.
Ugly?... to me it is bliss, Christian nirvana so to speak. With the caveat that not every single thing in the Bill of Rights is an invariant that follows from the bible, a lot of its substance does follow from the bible. And if Cruz is wise he will sidestep sloppy sentiment to explain exactly how.
I stand with Ted
Good article thanks for the post
Great graphic.....I like it
Oh my, WOULD things get better. They would even improve somewhat with a Mitt or a Jeb, because Obama has made them so bad. But with Cruz we’d have better than half a chance for a whole laundry list of conservative desiderata.
From your mouth to God’s ears
But the real reason things would get better.. Cruz loves (and respects/fears) God.
It is God that does the blessing. Not any politician.
Nice job, Lloyd. Keep it up.
This is the GOP’s last chance, and possibly America’s.
Its time for the GOP to do the right thing and get behind Ted, stop attacking conservatives, save this country.
I’m of the mind if Ted is our best shot...the rest are acting managers like Gov Walker. Levin says it here

Cruz to win. /end
Totally agree. Cruz is doing the right thing. the more he upsets them the more he wins. This is a totally different game. There is Fox news. There is talk radio. And there is the web.
Plus the economy is about to crash and so are the markets.
If Cruz is upsetting them, he is doing his job and by doing that his odds of winning go up greatly.
Redneck being a tongue in cheek way of describing God-honoring conservatives, who according to our chattering class are insufferable troglodytes.
