PARIS As officials struggled Wednesday to explain why a jet with 150 people on board crashed in relatively clear skies, an investigator said evidence from a cockpit voice recorder indicated one pilot left the cockpit before the planes descent and was unable to get back in.

As I told my wife last evening, upon learning that the Islama Administration had made a public statement that terrorism was not involved ... “I’ll bet you $100 this was the work of another Jihad Johnny pilot ... Looks like I may be right.
And now is when the story finally breaks that Bergdahl is getting prosecuted for desertion. #ObamaGotBergdahl
I knew there would be a reason that locking cabin doors would be a BAD idea.
But alas, we just have to change rules for “safety”, in this case thanks to 9/11.
The criminally insane and Moslems are well aware of the rules and how to take advantage of them.
(Not that Islam is what happened here, but it has crossed my mind many times that all the knee-jerk changes made are not all so wise.)
It's interesting that the LOCK mode only stays on for five minutes. Then the door either reverts to NORMAL mode (and the emergency access is allowed) or someone inside the cockpit must reissue the lock request. Note that the switch is momentary, and it cannot be left in OPEN or LOCK positions. Even if an incapacitated pilot accidentally touched the switch and locked the door, that would have only kept the door locked for five minutes. Don't know what happens if someone leans on the switch (with the rubber band, for example.) A good design would only register the edge of the signal, but not the level.
"Cockpit Door
"The 20 min lock delay is an error.
"It can be opened in just two minutes by typing in the appropriate code. This code is drilled into us in the same way 7700 is drilled into us. Basic operator knowledge by all pilots and cabin crew."

A big question.
It seemed from the beginning the circumstances coming out of this were odd.
Having to beat on the CP door? That got my attention.
Could be.
Apparently he left his keys on the dash.
Enough time to scrub all their social media?
Good point!
OK, so what we know is that about 1 minute or so before the plane started to descend there was communication with the ATC. I would assume both pilots are in the cockpit then, one pilot leaves and then the other pilot in the cockpit starts the descent.
Then the other pilot comes back and starts knockly “softly” on the door and then he is heard banging on the door. According to the video he should of been able to get back in between 5 to 8 minutes later. Because he couldn’t get back in, it seems like an intentional lock out to me.
After watching the video, as I understand it, the door is locked from the inside and the crew has a secret code to get back in. The pilot inside has a switch to keep the door locked for up to 5 minutes, or maybe longer if its set differently? That’s how I understand it anyway.
Name or pic of the crasher will be withheld as long as they can, while scrubbing his Soc/media postings. When its eventually out, odds are its a damn camel jockey or a convert.
It was Islamic Jihad.
Period.
Don’t set foot on a plane with a muslim flight crew.
Air travel is risky enough.
But which pilot spoke with the ATC? If it were the pilot who subsequently exited the CP, that would at least better define the time line.
I read that two passengers where from Iran. I don’t know if that could mean something.
Much unhappiness. coupled with considerable distress
Don’t know at this point...Could be. In fact I don’t think they know for sure who was even sitting in the cockpit on impact. Hard to believe no video feed from the flight decks. Even RTD buses have video.
Could someone have gained access somehow as the pilot exited the CP? Was the door compromised and somehow opened while the other pilot was using the can? I don’t know.
Nobody will ever no know of course but I suspect this is what happened on mh370
I bet his middle or first name is Hussein or Muhammad
Unsettled science on this one so far. Until we know more almost everything is blind speculation. Tomorrow a few more pieces of the puzzle may emerge.
Thanks for the additional link.
I watched CNN and their panel was mumbling about thinking it was a medical emergency or a suicide. Now with the new infor they denign call it “nefarious,” which I think is there tepid word for terrorism.
