Could have been a sudden heart attack.
Horrible whatever the reason.
Possible - now we need to know whether there were any sounds picked up indicating the remaining pilot was conscious or not. No sounds, no manipulations of any kind mean it may have been a health issue.
The odds of a pilot having a heart attack just when the other pilot's in the john are pretty slim. Possible, but pretty unlikely.
