Possible - now we need to know whether there were any sounds picked up indicating the remaining pilot was conscious or not. No sounds, no manipulations of any kind mean it may have been a health issue.
Wouldn't need to be sounds to indicate the pilot was active. The data recorder would show if there were actions were taken to pilot the plane. If there were, the pilot who remained in the cockpit was alive and well.
