Conservative Cruz Stands In Stark Contrast To Washington Establishment
Investors Business Daily ^ | March 23, 2015

2016: That sound you hear from Washington is the gnashing of teeth after Sen. Ted Cruz announced that he'll run for president. The irrepressible Texan's principled conservatism makes many nervous — and that's good.

As those of us who've interviewed Cruz know, he's hardly the brittle, conservative killjoy that the mainstream media try to portray him. On the contrary, he is charming, funny, scarily smart, a brilliant debater and more than well qualified to lead this nation.

He also knows the issues extraordinarily well and has staked out clearly identifiable positions on all of them. Which is why the media, progressives, liberals and even some moderate Republicans hate him so much.

And that's why the announcement of his candidacy is a great way to start the 2016 presidential campaign. Win or lose, he'll set the bar high.

Thanks for the poll link, I’ve been curious about the match-up between Cruz and Walker. Both of them are fantastic and I would be thrilled to have either in the White House :-)

The MAIN ISSUE for both Cruz and Walker is “self preservation”. I have NO DOUBT their lives are/will be in great danger beginning immediately. May God protect both of them and their families!

Immigration: "Imagine a president that finally, finally secures borders."

Taxes: "Imagine a simple flat tax that lets every American fill out his or her taxes on a postcard. Imagine abolishing the IRS."

ObamaCare: "Imagine in 2017 a new president signing legislation repealing every word of ObamaCare" and replacing it with "reform that ... makes health insurance personal and portable and affordable."

Law: Paraphrasing Thomas Jefferson, Cruz reminds us that the real role of the Constitution is "to serve as chains to bind the mischief of government" and to protect our precious, hard-won constitutional liberties.

BTTT!!

Win or lose, he'll set the bar high.

It's already set so high, that none of the current crop of terrible candidates can reach it, and the only one that can would be the second coming of George Washington.

Best move so far is the sign up for govt healthcare. All of the idiots are falling for this magnificent trap.

Last laugh goes to Cruz.

Gasp! The Chamber of Crony Fascism brown suits might have to actually compete in a free market if Cruz is elected president, oh the horror of it all to actually have to compete and not have the government protecting you and lining your pockets regardless of how bad you screw up! For the blue blood snobs it’s the end of humanity as we know it...
