This is why we have such a slew of articles discounting Sen. Cruz’ electability. If he’s not a factor, then he can be ignored. A third tier candidate pulls the field nowhere.

Failing that strategy (and I think they will),they’ll trot out eligibility. Right now, most of the MSM is skirting that issue. They mention he was born in Calgary, but they downplay why they are mentioning this (to keep the idea in play as a backup to dismissing him as not electable). Eligibility is the next attack, it’ll be fierce, and it will fail as well.

(After that, they’ll allege that he was raised by pro-Castro, communist sympathizers, wait and see).

The progressinati isn’t afraid that Sen. Cruz will win. Not yet. Right now, they’re afraid his campaign strategy (that conservatism can be presented unapologetically) will take root. They must destroy that concept, and they must be seen as the destroyers, to send a message to future candidates.

They will come for blood. Right now, they think they have time. That will change. Soon. Politics is a blood sport and they will try to spill blood.

No. The progressinati will do everything in their power to see that Sen Cruz pushes the field nowhere.

I think they’ll fail. I’ve put my money on it.

Typically, the progressinati portrays democrat presidential candidates as the smartest person to ever inhabit the planet and republicans as being amazed they’re intelligent enough to walk upright.

They can’t do that with Sen. Cruz (although eventually they will with Gov. Walker - and use his not finishing college as proof). No. Sen. Cruz’ education credentials knock out their favorite argument.

Right now I think they’re fumbling a bit trying to decide where to strike. After yesterday, I don’t think any of them believe anymore that they can make the unelectable argument stick. (In reality, the Texas Primary moving early makes Cruz a favored son in a big, early primary and they discount the effect this will have on the primary because it doesn’t fit their meme.)

Expect the unelectable meme to take a backseat to a much fiercer attack. Soon. Probably a personal one.

I’m on board Team Cruz. I have no illusions of a smooth ride. This ride will be flying over target and taking incoming.
