Was a Kasich fan in the 90s, much like I was a Paul Ryan fan more recently. They were great at articulating the budget issues. Kasich has been a real disappointment as governor. Only feather in his cap....an easy reelection in a tough state. MAYBE VP, but I don’t even think that makes sense. We need someone with tenacity in that role this time.

No, he was fairly conservative asa House member, he seems to have gone squishy since becoming Gov.

Cruz to Victory!

In a word, no. In two words HELL NO!

This sell out turncoat was one of Newt's "revolutionaries" and one of the first thing he does is sell out all 2nd Amendment promises to stand up!

Moderate RINO Beltway types are looking for anyone who will carry the RINO banner!!!

I’d love to have Cruz as president, but you all shouldn’t underestimate Kasich.

Kasich has the track record of getting things done in Congress and in Ohio. He’s very good with numbers and economic issues, which translate to jobs. Apart from the issues, he’s charismatic and a down-to-earth speaker, which can put you over the top in a general election. He crushed his last opponent, so I’m pretty sure he can bring along Ohio. I can work with that.

uhhhh......no

On balance he’s done a pretty decent job as Governor of my increasingly purple state of birth. But he’s about as exciting as watching paint dry.

John Kasich?

The kinder, gentler, “compassionate” conservative who expanded Medicaid and supports Commie Core?

Kasich may be the Republican establishment’s “secret weapon”, but for knowledgeable conservatives he is a train wreck.

Supporter of Common Core and may not get rid of Obamacare - no thanks. The old John Kasich might be worthy of a look, but he has long since melded with the GOPe.

Agreed.

Gov. Kasich knows how to pick his battles, win over the constituency, and have the state generally prosper - even in an imperfect environment.

As an Ohioan, I have. It might take more to excite you, but “boring” prosperity is what keeps things going in the Buckeye State.

I've knew John Kasich before he was in poltics and while he is a good person and a semi-conservative, charismatic is not an adjective that could be used to describe him.

He was boring when he was on FOX and he is still boring. I like him, but charismatic?? NFW

IF the GOP plan for 2016 is to use a RINO who supports Common Core, illegal aliens and forced expansion of Medicaid on the citizens of Ohio then YES, John Kasich is their Huckleberry.

Otherwise, he is an absolute non-starter.

There’s more to charisma than movie star handsomeness. His overall persona exudes “regular guy” charm which I see as an asset.

Such a shame that she’s a Kool-Aid drinking Democrat whack job.
