I don’t understand how the “Obama administration” can so confidently rule out terrorism at this early stage of the investigation. Makes me think someone knows something and this is an attempt to cover it. Tinfoil hat, yes - but Obama and anyone associated with him are not to be trusted.

There were 39 on board with Turkish passports. One, two or more could have caused a problem, maybe with a cohort on the ground in Barcelona participating in an inspection or servicing the plane. But even if it was a technical problem, why would the Obama folks come out immediately with "nothing to see here" if there was a chance they would have to walk it back if the black boxes show otherwise?
