The short answer is that you’re living in a police state when everyone becomes a suspected criminal or terrorist. And if the following report is any indicator, then welcome to the Reich.
The Justice Department has ordered bank tellers across America to contact law enforcement if they suspect your cash withdrawal may have something to do with illicit activity. There doesn’t need to be proof, or any sort of red flag indicator – merely suspicion by the bank teller processing your transaction is now enough to have you investigated by authorities.

In France they used terrorism as a reason to limit cash transactions to $1,000 for French citizens. Apparently the terrorist over there recently used cash. New laws goes into effect in fall. Foriegnors limited to $10,000 transactions. In euros of course.

Not directed at you, but isn't it too bad we can't limit government transactions. Seems the world's governments are the real terrorist and the "addicted", at least if your counting the number of dead bodies and spending. What's our own government debt now? 20 Trillion?
And "what difference does it make" what the cash limt is? How much does a single bullet cost, or a machete, or a hit of meth? This is all about creating a crisis (terrror, war on drugs, ...) and not letting it go to waste in furtherance of the acqusition of power over other people by an untrustworthy few, who find themselves in positions of trust.

They want to make all cash transactions illegal eventually. Then they can track everything and make sure proper taxes are paid. So all of this is coming to America soon. The reason they have opened our borders and are allowing illegals to enter is because they want a terrorist attack. All one has to do is look at France for why. To limit and control our activity. So in this case the government creates the problem then uses the problem to enhance government and its control. If there were no Muslims in France, there would have been no terrorist attacks and no justification for more stringent government controls.
I've wondered about the difference - do/are credit unions not required to report or gov't can't demand access to bank accounts with credit union?
those same questions are asked of you when you cross into Canada..now you need a passport, but for years of going to Canada to play bingo, they want to know where your going and why and how long you will stay etc. It was a great place to shop during Christmas when a dollar was worth 1.50 in Canadian Cash sometimes even more...

Cash “control” is “Property control” and once you have that you control the people.
No one owns anything anymore, the government has usurped any property rights anyone ever though they actually had, all they need is bogus eminent domain claim or civil asset forfeiture seizure and your stuff just goes *POOF* like you never had it in your hands. If my Bank interviewed me, I would tell them to go straight to bloody hell. I would tell them that the cash is MY property and that I am will be looking for a a new bank post haste, in fact i would demand they withdraw ALL my money, give it to me, and close ALL my account(s) immediately.
Then i would tell the bank Manager to go to hell again for good measure because it is none of his damn business without a F***ING warrant.
