Sen. Ted Cruz no doubt wanted everything to be just right for his official presidential roll-out today at Liberty University in Virginia.
He even went to the trouble of practicing everything from his wave to a kiss with his wife on Sunday.
Enter a group of Rand Paul supporters.
Several students wearing Stand With Rand shirts made their way into seats directly behind Cruz on stage this morning. The students' shirts were blurry yet visible in many of the shots during Cruzs speech....

I do care who I support and highly recommend Cruz supporters need to give as good as they get, especially from the Rand/Ron Paul machine.
Cruz supporters need to be sharp and ready to do the same.
The Paul’s deserve credit for investing at least the last 20 years in slowly and meticulously growing their party, and they have paid their dues in endurance, standing in the face of mockery and barbs.
By now, they do have a more impactful machine in place by now, and none of the others do but for Bush. Libtards are willing to play hard ball, (which I am not opposed to in these times), but ALL the other contenders including Ted Cruz need to be vigilant and be able to contend with these cutesy tactics. There are rougher ones coming.
Mrs Cruz won’t be on the ballot.
Rand Paul is a Libertarian (AKA “Libertine”). Whereas, that worldly (anything goes) mindset might go with the youth in secular universities...it would NOT be welcome at Liberty. The “Libertarian” views on moral issues like prostitution, drugs would not be allowed by students at Liberty and is inconsistent with the expected lifestyle and values of their student body. IF those were real students, they should be disciplined for bad behavior.
You are repeating lefty canards about Cruz’s wife.
I suggest that you find out the FACTUAL truth about her.
Welcome away from Free Republic, Kaled!
Exactly. (Good thing Nancy Reagan wasn't on the ballot.)
"So the Rand Paul fandom is going to be just as obnoxious and pointless as the Ron Paul crowd. What a waste."
What do you mean?
What do you have in mind she should do with a degree like hers and ability like hers, if she knows her husband is going to need a war che$t to be in Texas politics, run for office in Texas for US Senate against the Establishment shoe-in and boob? Money, baby.
Now comes a nomination race for the presidency. The Mrs. can fund him nicely.
As for the globals, it’s all going to hell anyway without a Cruz type in the White House.
The one thing that might keep me from voting for Rand Paul is his obnoxious rude ass supporters!!!
Typical Astroturftard tactic. By the way, good riddance Kaled, you’ve been “kaled”.
Kaled has finally left the House ...
Is that Cindy Sheehan?
Mrs. Cruz is a FINANCIAL PLANNER and yes she did/does work for Goldman Sachs, which those who anti-Cruz try to make more of than what it is and attempt to smear her and Ted, by claiming that she is higher up with Goldman, than she is.
Yes, that’s exactly who that female thing is.
If your wife was, as you say, a “lifelong globalist insider” and you were elected President of the U.S., would you let her set your policy for you? Or are you your own man?
Either way - You should read up on her. It’s possible you may have misjudged her.
Isn’t that the truth...
It's a red flag for me. I have trust issues with these people being who they say they are.
I like Cruz. I WANT him to be what he appears to be.
I am going to support any outsider candidate. I will never support GOPe. If it even matters.
That said, principled people don't typically spend inordinate amounts of time with people who don't share their principles. Maybe she's the "insider" dark horse. Maybe she's grown. Maybe she did it for the money.
Just something a little concerning, IMO.
Me, personally, I am an ideological nightmare. So, I'd probably not marry someone counter to my beliefs. But, my beliefs have certainly evolved over time. I was certainly once far more establishment minded. Possible for anyone to evolve.
At least one good thing will come if both Rand and Cruz are in the race. For the first time in a long time the country will get to hear a serious debate about the role of government in our lives. I am looking forward to it.
How much do you think a regional sales manager makes? You think she can fund his campaign? Oh, btw, she’s no longer there.
