That’s good to hear.

Someone earlier said he had a deep respect for the Constitution. That’s a lawyerly attitude and a good one as far as it goes. But the Constitution is only good because of the principles it embodies. Trying to codify all of the principles into law gums up the works. Trying to ensure a culture that values those principles so codification in law isn’t necessary is a far better way to go.

I don’t mean to say that Cruz WOULD think in terms of legislation. I just mean to say that I want the kind of leader who thinks in terms of the deeper cultural tools we have at our disposal.

Would a non Harvard grad (non grad), non lawyer like Walker do better than Cruz? I don’t know. We have many months to find out.

Yes, foremost of those principles, however, is the sole legal basis for the Federal Government. Absent respect for the compact, there is no legal federal government--only rule by intimidation & fear.
