Obama: ‘By Hook Or Crook,’ I’ll Expand Government
Daily Caller ^ | March 22, 2015 | By Neil Munro

President Barack Obama says he’s going to push the limits on presidential power as far as he can go during the last two years of his tenure.

“Where [elected Republicans in Congress] are not willing to work with us, we will do it administratively or we will convene the private sector,” he said in a friendly interview with The Huffington Post.

“By hook or by crook,” he added.

Obama said his big-government push would “make sure that when I leave this office, that the country is more prosperous, more people have opportunity, kids have a better education, we’re more competitive, climate change is being taken more seriously than it was, and we are actually trying to do something about it.”

In practice, Obama’s agenda includes more progressive control over peoples’ salaries, education practices and the energy companies. Each expansion means that state and local governments plus large and small companies will cooperate with regulators to push progressives’ goals, instead of trying to please Americans voters, taxpayers and free-market consumers.

Why else? The GOP is too scared/cowardly to do anything and has given him de facto permission to do whatever he wants.

This is the truth; but take a look at things like the refusal to defund ObamaCare and you begin to see something else: they agree with this drive to expand government power.

Of course. Particularly turncoats Boehner and McConnell who hide behind the skirts of their Sisters in Tyranny—the Democrats.

He’s not about to leave office voluntarily.

Wel, I hope he, Michelle, Valerie and the kids will be comfortable in the Führerbunker.

“...or we will convene the private sector.” (Obama)

*********************

An excerpt from an old thread with a 1937 booklet about FDR and the New Deal called “The Revolution Was”. Obama once again follows FDR’s playbook

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2185147/posts

Excerpt:

PROBLEM FIVE WHAT TO DO WITH BUSINESS — WHETHER TO LIQUIDATE OR SHACKLE IT

There was a Director of the Budget who was not at heart a New Dealer. One day he brought to the President the next annual budget — the one of which the President afterward said: “The country, and I think most of Congress, did not fully realize the large sums which would be expended by the government this year and next, nor did they realize the great amount the Treasury would have to borrow.”

At the end of his work the Director of the Budget had written a paragraph saying simply and yet in a positive manner that .....the government had really no thought of going into competition with private enterprise.

Having lingered for some time over this paragraph the President said: “I’m not so sure we ought to say that.”

The Director of the Budget asked, “Why not, Mr. President?”

The President did not answer immediately, but one of his aides who had been listening said: “I’ll tell you why. Who knows that we shall not want to take over all business?”

The Director of the Budget looked at the President, and the President said: “Let’s leave it out.” And of course it was left out....

Business is in itself a power. In a free economic system it is an autonomous power, and generally hostile to any extension of government power. That is why a revolutionary party has to do something with it. In Russia it was liquidated; and although that is the short and simple way, it may not turn out so well because business is a delicate and wonderful mechanism; moreover, if it wi11 consent to go along it can be very helpful.

Always in business there will be a number, indeed, an astonishing number, who would sooner conform than resist, and besides these there will be always a few more who may be called the Quislings of capitalism. Neither Hitler nor Mussolini ever attempted to liquidate business. They only deprived it of its power and made it serve.”

Why cannot Bonehead and McDumbo stop this?

They obviously don't want to stop this. Simple as that.

I don’t think it would take Ted Cruz that long...maybe a three day weekend.

Indeed. Big Government could be ended so easily. Simply take away the power to issue debt in a fiat currency.

“I don’t think it would take Ted Cruz that long...maybe a three day weekend.”

Surely you under rate the man. All it would take is one sweeping EO nullifying all that came during the reign of the poser. Give Ted 10 minutes and it would be done. In the next ten have another EO declaring all of the regulations brought about without Congress the same.

Then go out and grill some steaks.

Senator Cruz has my vote.

I am eager to see him loudly and frequently denounce

Obama’s War on America’s Middle Class and

Obama’s War on Black Americans.

Let’s use the TRUTH as a weapon against Obama’s hard-left leeches...
