Feds to Weigh Children in Daycare [Mandate from Michelle O]

Bureaucrats from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will weigh and measure children in daycare as part of a study mandated by First Lady Michelle Obama’s Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act.

The agency published a notice in the Federal Register on Friday proposing data collection on what meals are served in professional and home daycare facilities and how much physical activity children perform.

Aside from assessing how healthy the food in daycare is, the USDA will also check the weight and height of roughly 3,000 children.

if they are reading your suggestion, i’m sure someone in this administration will be looking into this soon. i’m waiting for our government to start recording of weight of its citizens as part of the census; so, that they can start assessing a tax on an individual’s estimated annual CO2 and methane emissions based on BMI.

In reality, black kids weigh more than white kids. Black men and women weigh more than white men and white women. They have a denser bone structure, which weighs more, even though they will be exactly the same size.

That is why blacks are not competitive swimmers, their bone density weighs them down. But they can excel at other sports like running and football where the bone mass is a good feature for the sport.

The law was sponsored by a Democratic Senator from Arkansas. Michelle Obama is not and never has been a member of Congress, so in what sense is this "her" bill? It's a long, verbose law, with all sorts of clauses and provisions and references to previous laws on the same topic. Michelle Obama did not write this bill. So, again, how is it HER law?
