Oh, how I wish Texas lawmakers cared as much about our children as they do their guns.
And wouldnt it be terrific if the folks who represent us in Austin despised injustice as much as they do immigration and taxes?
I suppose, given the makeup of our state Legislature and the leadership in the top statewide offices, thats a little too much to hope for.
It is no surprise that new gun legislation has been put on a fast track at the Capitol, sailing through committee and floor votes with ease, while our underfunded public schools likely will languish.

You didnt slap leather unless it was really called for. Jus sayin.
To Progressive-Liberals “slapping leather” means something entirely different...
Huh? 43+6=49. Where’s the other 8? LOL!
My Illinois CCL will be one year old on Easter Sunday. I am having a great time poking at the “blood will run in the streets” crowd asking them what happened to their predictions.
You mean all those Chitown shootouts aren’t legal holders?
and Sam Colt made Them Equal!
They do! Protecting the guns protects the children.
Texas spends about 8,000 per student in the government schools. We homeschool my three kids. What could we do with 24,000/year? Well one thing’s for sure, I think of some way of using that money to make sure my kids could read in cursive.

I’m sorry you have to live in the same state as Chicago, but The Loop is really a great place.
Several years ago in my state we were passing CCW and the “Blood in the street-Road rage” meme came up. Didn’t happen. Last year we were passing open carry pretty much anywhere and the “Blood in the street-Road rage” meme came up. Didn’t happen. This year permitless conceal carry is moving along and the “Blood in the street-Road rage” meme is being thrown about. Next year maybe we can be an example for other states that “Blood in the street-Road rage” is a farce.
Stupid idiotic propaganda. They real question is why you do not want people to be able to protect themselves. What is your agenda.
My brother has taught his grandchildren and great grandchildren all about guns and fishing. They love to go with him. The grands are young adults and the oldest great is about 7. The were taught safety first.
