A new European Union (EU) report says that Jerusalem is at a “boiling point” and recommends sanctions against Israel over the “polarization” in the capital.
The leaked report comes after Israeli officials said in February that EU member states were readying themselves to enforce sanctions on Israel and will strike hours after the March 17 elections.
The report, obtained by the British Guardian on Friday, says that Jerusalem has reached a dangerous boiling point of “polarization and violence” not seen since the end of the second intifada in 2005.
The report calls for tougher European sanctions against Israel over its “continued settlement construction in the city”, which it claims is exacerbating recent conflict.
The leaked report describes the emergence of a “vicious cycle of violence … increasingly threatening the viability of the two-state solution”, which it says has been stoked by the continuation of “systematic” settlement building by Israel in “sensitive areas” of Jerusalem, according to the Guardian.

The EU slaps sanctions on Israel ? Then the God of Israel will cause the EU to go into deeper economic turmoil.
These EU nations will go into default like Greece, Italy with ISIS knocking at their front door.

Conservative U.S. politicians need to start standing up and challenging this lie. They need to point out that Jerusalem has NO importance whatsoever in Islam. That it is not mentioned EVEN ONCE in the Koran. That the city was conquered and occupied by Muslims — as was Spain — and is holy only to Christians and Jews. That it is time for them to leave, as they did from Spain, and get off Jewish land. Boehner is going to Israel. That would be a great place to start.
I would agree in regards to Jerusalem, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s position on it. But, while Netanyahu does strongly say that he will not divide Jerusalem, he also maintains that each of those major religions have the right to have their religious sites in Jerusalem (and elsewhere in Israel) and also protected by law.
I only say that because some people may want to go BEYOND what Netanyahu would agree to and stand for, by law. He is definitely not for dividing Jerusalem, but he is also for protecting the religious sites of any of these religions in Israel.
I hope people here can distinguish between those two separate issues.
The point is that the narrative that Jews came from Europe and "stole" "Palestinian" land, and that Jerusalem (They call it Al-Quds) does not belong to Jews because they deny that Jews ever lived there before. It is a genocidal narrative, and must be countered by exposing how Jerusalem hold NO holy value to Islam.

I can understand in the religious writings, that it holds no value to Islam, but one cannot deny that there are Islamic religious sites in Jerusalem. That’s beyond denying ... especially when you go up on the Temple Mount ... :-) ...
What we’re talking about here is the POLITICAL and who controls Jerusalem politically. What some people want to make it (and on both sides) that because there is religious significance or there is no religious significance — that the determination on that basis determines the outcome for POLITICAL CONTROL.
With Israel in control of the political situation (and “governance”) ... all religious sites are fully protected. With an Islamic government in control ONLY THEIR RELIGIOUS SITES are protected and all others end up being destroyed or allowed to go to ruin!
Just THAT SITUATION alone, should tell people all they need to know as to who should have political control of Jerusalem.
Whoropeans never liked communities, especially not Jewish communities... the type that did not submit like a German accepting a chip implant...
Anyways, now whoropeans are looking like they are a community in the middle of an islamic world... hence their increased frustration with Israel standing there while they dare not fight back muslims.
