EXCLUSIVE-MICHELLE MALKIN: SCOTT WALKER DESERVES TO BE VETTED MUCH BIGGER THAN OUSTED PRO-AMNESTY AI

Full Title: EXCLUSIVE — MICHELLE MALKIN: SCOTT WALKER DESERVES TO BE VETTED, ‘PROBLEMS’ MUCH BIGGER THAN OUSTED PRO-AMNESTY AIDE

Nationally syndicated conservative columnist Michelle Malkin, founder of the website Twitchy, tells Breitbart News that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker—a potential 2016 GOP presidential candidate—needs to be vetted. She also says Walker’s “problems” run much deeper than the decision to hire—then quickly let go of—pro-amnesty communications aide Liz Mair, who had taken shots at Iowa.

“Scott Walker has much bigger problems than the ill-considered hiring and firing of one D.C. operative,” Malkin said in an email.

What does he really stand for and is he fully equipped to bear the slings and arrows of his enemies on a national and global scale? Yes, he fought Big Labor and has managed his state well. But grass-roots activists in his state have long been warning me of his ideological gymnastics on core issues: immigration and education.

He has been on the same side as the progressive Left and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Right: pro-amnesty, pro-massive legal immigration expansionist, and pro-Common Core. He’s been left, right, center, and all over the map.

She added that Washington-based GOP establishment forces are good at backing up establishment politicians, as they seemed to have tried to do to defend Walker and Mair.

“The D.C. consultant class and Capitol Hill GOP operators are adept at swooping in to ‘rescue’ the campaigns of neophytes and molding them into Beltway barnacle tools,” Malkin said. “They did it with Spencer Abraham and Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan. Face it: Many of the D.C. messaging ‘experts’ and ‘communicators’ DO have their own policy agenda and it is naive or stupid to believe they have no sway or influence on ambitious, outside the Beltway seekers of higher public office with no fixed principles.”

If you don't know that Walker is a RINO, then you haven't been paying attention. The entire state party leadership is RINO. Reince Priebus, being the head RINO-in-charge when he led the state party and now he's the head RINO-in-charge in DC.

Seriously, you naive Wisconsonites just want to hold hands and sing Kumbayah with the liberals because you don't think anyone should yell when discussing politics and it's a shame that republican policies anger so many liberals. So you work harder to appease them. It's a shame.

I see wisdom in Walker but there are few people I trust more than Michelle Malkin.
I was sure that Paul Ryan would be an excellent VP selection.
He turned out to be a tremendous disappointment and I won’t go down that road again.

I heard this this morning, I think on Beck.

I think that she is wrong. And I normally do not disagree with her. Sounds like Beck was feeding her a bit.

Who is Michelle Malkin’s candidate? Do you have a link to her endorsement? Thanks!

Hillary seems to have been the center lineman that kept the ball and took the hits until she had to hand off the ball to the little zero. He didn’t go through any questioning on policy up until election day. All his records were sealed. It had nothing to do with the color, it was the commie. If anyone had gotten hold of any of his communist writings he would have gone no where.

If Walker can convince me he will work to improve security at home while less US involvement abroad he will likely have my support.

We tend to take people like Malkin too seriously. They have a great self-interest in making news themselves, rather than reporting it.

A conservative/Republican opinion writer casting shade this way will be invited to the nightly round of talking heads, where Chris Matthews or someone similar will plug her website, or book, or what-have-you.

What is wrong with what Michelle said that he needs to be vetted?

Are you saying the he should not be vetted or critiqued?

Michelle Malkin is frustrated because her darling candidate is not running well in polls.

I like Michelle but it does come across this way.

I like what I've seen from Scott Walker but if there is something damaging in his background, I'd like to know about it early in the process so we can rally around someone else. I've gone from a Cruz (or Palin) supporter to a Cruz or Walker (or Palin) supporter.

Walker had taken past postions on immigration that favored amnesty and generous work visas, etc. Then for a couple of weeks there were stories about how he had 'evolved' on those issues and now opposed amnesty, or he'd flip/flopped.

Walker flip/flops on immigration

I thought he'd flip/flopped, and now this story. Pretty confusing.

If Walker wants us to believe his White House road conversion on American sovereignty and the rule of law he needs to be specific. Just saying you oppose amnesty is worthless. John McCain says he opposes amnesty. Bush said no amnesty.

Will he enforce current laws, as written, not as interpreted by this administration?
Will he oppose changing the laws to benefit illegal aliens in any way?
Unless illegal aliens return home and apply like everybody else, that’s amnesty. We’ve been lied to too many times by too many politicians to believe just anything.

His close associations with Priebus and Ryan and his past statements are reason enough to demand to know more about his views on illegal aliens, we’re not talking about real immigrants.

We must elect a President who will uphold the rule of law or we lose it.

Lose that and we lose the country.
