Glenn Beck says he is no longer a member of the Republican Party.
Ive made my decision Im out," Beck said on his radio show Wednesday, according to Mediaite.com. "Im out of the Republican Party. I am not a Republican; I will not give a dime to the Republican Party. Im out.
The former Fox News host and founder of the Blaze supported the GOP during the last election cycle but has become disillusioned with the party in recent years over what he believes was its failure to stand up to the Obama administration specifically, the Affordable Care Act and immigration reform.
Four years ago I was with them," Beck said. "Four years ago I said, Work from the inside, lets change it, lets get new guys in there."
But those efforts have proved futile, he said.

I don’t like today’s Republican party and I don’t like today’s Glenn Beck.
Was he bawling when he said it?
HOORAY Glenn!
i hope it works. problem is that many that run as conservatives either never were or change when DC corrupts them. the known enemies you mentioned we can deal with. it’s all the others, new and old, that get in the way or real change.
I’ve been backstabber enough. but IF the party changes, I’m willing to watch and hope.
Join the club, Glenn.
I am about ready to check out myself. After we elected Mark Sanford to congress I saw no future as a Republican. I decided to give it one more chance. I started going to Republican Party meetings and I have been elected Precinct President and county delegate. I am going to pitch in and try to win the primary for a conservative candidate. If we get another squish I am done for sure. I won’t have anything left.
I could say about the same thing except for one thing.
Boehner was re-upped as the Speaker again this year.
No serious effort was launched to replace that lackluster bucket of warm tears.
That tells me that Congressional Republicans have finally attained rough parity with the Republicans in the Senate.
The only hope is to get a Conservative president that will drive policy both bodies will rubber stamp.
Nothing good will emanate from this House or Senate IMO.
Ps. if Cruz is the nominee, I WILL be back. He has proven himself in the cesspool of DC over and over.
I think his major disaster decision was to drop his syndicated radio gigs and go the way of Oprah. Didn’t work for her. Didn’t work for him.
He used to do stuff on his radio shows in the morning that were hilarious. Maybe like ten yrs ago, moron trivia was so funny.
Don’t think radios stations streamed as much back then. Plus the boss would’ve griped about bandwidth usage. So I couldn’t always listen. Reception in the bldg was non-existent. So I caught some on break at times. Was very funny. And his “correct” answers when they got it wrong were so funny. Also wrong. But the moron didn’t know.
Showed how really stupid Americans are also. Kinda like Kimmel does on the sidewalk sometimes.
Bye bye weirdo
After 30+ years as a Republican I registered as an Independent back in 2007 right after I heard GWB smugly say, "See you at the bill signing", in reference to his determination to stab conservatives in the back with his unwanted amnesty.
And I have not regretted it since.
In the "com-MUNE-a-tee" it's been mandatory for good black people who don't want lumps on their heads to vote straight-ticket and vote for the "blackest" candidate they can find.
Until now the only avenue for a demurrer from the Mob line has been not to vote, not to show up. The absentees thus file a weak protest against bad black candidates like Sheila Jackson Lee and Carrie Meeks and Maxine Waters and "Cold Cash" Jefferson.
Obama's idea would set up a full-house voting scheme in which all the living and dead in certain precincts would automatically vote ... sort of like what ACORN was doing a few years ago.
You can't have integrity without consistency.
Was this before or after he said he’s quit the NRA?
His party affiliation is DQ (Drama Queen).
Without a doubt, the show has had “entertainment value” and for me (wasn’t their some guy who use to come on it and said all of these things about “numerology” and such, that was funny), he has said some decent things. So, I’m not deadset against him, it is just it’s obvious that he’s not Rush and I don’t make a real effort to listen to what he says but I’m not calling him “bad”.
That's right. And the only reason the party is still dominated by the old Northeast Republicans is the order of the primary elections. Change that and it's a whole different party.
