Meridian/Lauderdale Co. NAACP President Randle Jennings says... they believe the root of the problem lies within the Meridian public school system. He says many of these criminals drop out, can't find jobs and they run out of choices.

Sure, Randle. That's the ticket. It's the fault of the school system. Then how come the local whites aren't running around murdering 94 year old black women? Don't they go to the same schools?

Doesn't sound much different than the outright murder of Australian student Christopher Lane who lived in the town while attending college in Oklahoma.

One morning when he was jogging in Duncan, Oklahoma, 3 bored yutes decided to kill someone. Lane just happened to be a convenient victim that morning. They shot Lane dead -- because they were bored and didn't have anything else to do. The perps were ages 15, 16 and 17.

It doesn't take any imagination all to recognize that if this story were about four white teens killing a woman of any color, it definitely would have been covered at least regionally, if not nationally.

A black kid here was convicted in a gang rape. He was 16 at the time. He was sentenced to 5years probation.

the Mayor of Meridian has begun a youth gang crime task force in response to this. He has made this same type announcement before.That was two weeks ago and the gangs are still in open sight, going about their same business of selling drugs,pimping young girls and controlling the city etc,etc.
Again, there are no youth detention centers (closed for inhumane treatment several years ago). And the SP law Center has filed suits for cruel and inhumane incarceration that will probably make some folks rich. Like the money being earmarked for a new basketball gym, cultural center and the usual childrens clubs, there’s gold in them there hills. Goes to the right people so nothing gets done.
There is only one TV station in town that carries local news. Local elections are skewed as the proper candidates get positive coverage. Also crime stories are controlled that way.after a few days of coverage, the story goes away, details about punishment for the youth offenders is kept out of the public eye so the people at risk have no clues these little monsters are back out in the community.
The other “family of stations” does no news except the CBS, NBC network news, but not the Fox affiliate.You have to get satellite or cable for that.
It’s all tied up in a neat little bundle that benefits the families and people who matter. Mrs. Carmiceal had little in the way of options. Move to a retirement center,and all that means, be put in a nursing home, or live in her home with the windows shuttered and hope that worthless murdering scum doesnt break in.
The police wouldnt release how many times she was shot.Only “multiple” times. So did they all take turns shooting her, so they could get that merit badge?
