The media lives in denial about how big the national debt is. If they had any sense, they would be pushing long and hard to say that our nation was too deep in debt years ago, and to vote in representatives who would be willing to vote down expenses and pay off the national debt, which is pretty much a government ponzi scheme.

I also wanted to add: Patriotism is missing from our elected leaders.
There used to be a time when that was an important election issue,
and those running couldn't out-do each other enough.
