“I’ve paid my taxes, obeyed the laws and have been a good citizen supporting the community with donations,” the former SCE worker wrote. “I voted for President Obama and was appalled that he implemented a rule change, which allows work permits to H-1B spouses. My future votes will only go to candidates that support reforms to the H-1B visa program that preserve the American worker.”

I do know the Chinese seriously game scientific publications and have seen stuff that even my uninitiated self could pick up on as nonsense.

The company has a hard time getting qualified US citizens to work at the salaries being offered

Fixed.

Penalize corporations via the tax code to the point where it costs more to engage in this practice than it does to employ an American.

The current regulatory environment you see today is what happens when someone makes a case for regulatory fiat in reasonable cases and establishes a precedent... and then the Democrats get control of that apparatus.

No thanks to adding to that jenga stack.

McCain, maybe not but we may have had a President Palin after his term. She would have done better by this guy.

I’ve heard the same about them; few American co-workers seem impressed with them (even if they like them personally). American students are wary of them in terms of poaching research and such.

I’ve worked with a few that designed programs, and found them to be competent; they weren’t young, and had lived here for years. If you needed modifications to a program, and were very specific with them, the end result was good. FWIW, I’m not in the IT field.

It’s a corporate culture that is sick and twisted.

This must be an election year issue

I see this shaping up to be a major election issue.

This has to stop.

I wish it would be a campaign issue; neither party wants to address it, both make millions of dollars from it, so apparently a gentleman’s agreement has been made to keep it on the back burner...

I see this shaping up to be a major election issue.

Only if the mainstream media agrees with you, which they don't. This issue won't see the light of day.
