Meanwhile, 2015 could be the year of the double whammy — when we learned the same about one gigantic glacier of East Antarctica, which could set in motion roughly the same amount all over again. Northern hemisphere residents and Americans in particular should take note — when the bottom of the world loses vast amounts of ice, those of us living closer to its top get more sea level rise than the rest of the planet....

Really curious how that works. More curious if the guy said it with a straight face.
It said the water in the melting trench / tunnel is 1.5 degrees warmer than other water, so it is actually minus 58.5 degrees, not minus 60.
I’m still pretty convinced that that shouldn’t do much melting, but who am I to know such stuff.

25% of the global average is LESS than the average.
What the moron meant to write was: "For the United States, the amount of sea level rise could be an additional 25 percent or more above the global average."

So, we have one class of AGW advocates that are sinister in nature. Those that simply use this issue to “Bring down capitalism”. These people know damn well what they are doing and also know that they can manipulate a bunch of “useful idiots”.
The other class,the useful idiots, are very passionate fools that use political correctness in their attempt to silence clear thinking people.
I don’t think the useful idiots have any clue about economics, history or human nature. While many should, and probably have learned those things as they get older, they seem to be surprisingly quiet.

Volcanos also dwarf man in terms of gas emissions. But one fact that the greenies never point out is that WATER is the vast majority of “greenhouse gasses” and humans have no effect on it. Water vapor is many times more concentrated in the atmosphere than CO2.
IMO - Variability in solar radiation, volcanic activity, meteorite strikes, and ocean currents account for ALL of the climate shifts the earth has seen in its existence.

Sea levels began to rise 18k years ago at the end of the last glacial period. They have risen about 135 meters since then which is an average of 7.5 millimeters per year. That is an average of 750 mm per century (29.5 inches) which is far more than the average over the last century.
From 1880 to 2000 sea level rose about 20 cm or just under 8 inches. Far far less than the nearly 30 inches per century average over the last 18,000 years.

folks, our atmosphere has only 0.04% CO2 in it, man is only responsible for 3.4% of that meaning that compared to the total volume of our atmosphere, man’s CO2 contribution amounts to just 0.00137% of the atmosphere- there is no way this side of hell that this small amount is causing ANYTHING

You don’t understand, it’s melting from below, that chart is showing the ice is spreading because it is melting and getting thinner. Just like when you dump ice cream on the kitchen counter, at first it is only “this” big around, but after it melts it is HUGH and SERIES.
A 10 foot rise in the oceans should help the drought in California!!!!!
