Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, winds up his exploratory presidential campaign weekend in New York tonight - on NBCs Late Night with Seth Meyers.
The appearance, which was not announced by his political staff, concludes a whirlwind trip to South Carolina and New Hampshire.
On Saturday afternoon, Cruz started with a speech at the South Carolina National Security Action Summit, followed by a hop to the Granite State Sunday for the Strafford County Republican Committee Chili and Chat with Sen. Cruz. Then it was the Grafton County Lincoln Day Dinner and this mornings "Politics and Eggs" breakfast at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at St. Anselm College.
It was at the Strafford County event where Cruz provided Meyers with some material by frightening a three year old girl with his fiery rhetoric.
The whole world is on fire, Cruz said, prompting the concerned youngster, who was sitting on her mothers lap, to ask, The world is on fire?
Cruz, who was talking about foreign policy, repeated the phrase but moved to reassure her by saying, But you know what, your mommys here and everyones here to make sure that the world you grow up in is even better.
The Late Night show is taped at 6:30 pm EDT before a live audience and airs at 12:35 a.m.
Go Ted Go!
Who is Seth Meyers ?
Does anyone know what time this airs on the East Coast?
Hope it’s not TOO late.
He has a talk show on NBC. I went and looked and they do have Senator Ted Cruz scheduled for tonight.
12:35 am I believe.
Thanks, I’ll tune in.
I saw Cruz was going into the belly of the beast in the morning.
5,4,3,2...
OOO Thank you for letting us know. I will keep myself awake to watch him. Just like I did when he appeared with Jay Leno.
“The whole world is on fire”
The leftists have their hair on fire at the thought that Cruz could be the next President.
FYI
Go Cruz Go.....
Former head writer and "Weekend Update" anchor on Saturday Night Live. Wrote the Sarah Palin skits that Tina Fey made famous.
Her mother told the child, Mr. Cruz is a fireman, and he’s’ going to put the fire out.
Okay mommie .. and she went back to her other’s phone.
According to the mother, she was calling him Uncle Cruz all night. She didn’t sound scared to me.
But, you know how the left is .. ANYTHING TO SMEAR CRUZ.
Were you around in 1980? They were scared of someone back then, too.
Yes, I was around then; and they treated Reagan the very same way.
Except, they know Cruz is waaaaaay smarter than they are and I think that makes them even more afraid.
He’s up next on NBC Seth Meyers show. West Coast FYI
Just watched Cruz on the show. He sounds good, personable, but he needs to work on his body language. (HEY, Cruz’s “people” — are you reading this?) He has a way of ducking his head as he talks or listens that reminds me of a border collie “working” a herd (you know that ducking thing they do) but it doesn’t look very good on TV. Ted also needs to make more eye contact with the host, and look out at the audience occasionally. He needs to learn how to *look* as good as his message! ;o)
