Let us now make the case for Jeb skepticism. Jeb Bush is a fine man. Hes a conservative. He was a highly effective conservative governor. He would probably make a fine president. And, if he were the Republican nominee, there would be precious few good arguments from a conservative perspective for sitting out the election, never mind voting for the Democratic nominee (whoever she may be).

I get the sense Jonah is talking to the hicks here...flyover country. Words have meaning, conservative has meaning.
Jeb Bush...all the Bushes...are progressive Repubs. We have all the 'progressive' we need.

DITTO!
I am so freakin’ tired of the Bushes and the Clintons. CAN’T THEY JUST GO AWAY!!!
Having read the entire article, I don’t think it’s quite the hagiography to Bush at all. He ends by saying that we want change, and Bush isn’t exactly promising much of it, and Walker and Cruz both represent it in spades.
And, like you, I believe the first thing Bush will have to change is my mind/my vote. It would help if he would also change his past liberalism, fat chance. Since he can’t, I would be very suspicious of any new conservative tone from him.
THANK YOU...THANK YOU!!!!!! Signed, your pal Barack
