Christians ARE too scared to admit beliefs—because they fear being mocked or treated like bigots…

Christians are frightened to reveal their religious beliefs to colleagues at work, equality chiefs admit.

When they do declare their Christianity, whether in the office or on the shop floor, they are often mocked or treated like bigots—and their children are even ridiculed at school.

Christians also think their faith is being pushed out of its role as a cornerstone of life in Britain, according to a major study by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

And ironically, many feel they are being persecuted by the same anti-discrimination and equality laws supported by the equality watchdog. …

Equality means some group has to be oppressed and pushed into closets

One thing you do learn with age is that bold is actually easier. If someone isn’t going to like something about you, and you aren’t going to change it, best get it out front. With a smile perhaps, but bold.

Well if I was Anglican I would be embarrassed too.

But in reality I know very little about Anglicans and I lost interest somewhere into a paragraph on Wikipedia.

US Episcopalians are part of the Anglican Communion.

For a while, the Anglican church was run by an open druid.

Our entire civilization is under attack. Christianity is part of our Western Civilization, hence it is also under attack. If Westerners and Christians cannot or will not fight then they must go under.

Ah, yes. The Church of England. The Church started so that some king could get rid of his wife. I’m surprised that it’s endured this long.

The UK really is kaput, letting this go on.

The UK is kaput???

This happens here.

This STARTED here.

It's not just Christians, it's all conservatives.

Conservatism isn't cool. The cool kids in Hollywood, and in college, and everywhere else are all progressives. If you espouse conservative beliefs, you will be attacked.

So very few of us will espouse conservative beliefs outside of the choir. Yet progressives feel free to spout their crap without any pushback whatsoever.

This is a world-wide phenomenon, and has been fueled in very large measure by the secularist ‘intellectual’ characterization of Christianity as anti-intellectual.

There are two types of Anglicans.

There are those who are genuinely religious and who are trying to live a Christian life within the Church that they were born into, and which does still have genuine Christianity at its core in works like the Book of Common Prayer, and wonderful expressions of faith in buildings and great hymns.

And then there are other for whom is is simply the biggest social club in Britain - a route to power and respectability.

Actually some people are in both. It used to be that the second group were normally still part of the first. Now, often they are not - and that can even include clergy, and can even include senior clergy.

I’ve moved away from Anglicanism towards Roman Catholicism as a better match for my beliefs. But it wasn’t easy to do. I love the Church of England. What it was - and what it could be again with the right leadership. I felt bad leaving it, like I was abandoning the fight for it. But eventually I could not stay.

Some are better than me - and stay within it to fight the good fight.

To build Jerusalem in England’s green and pleasant land.

We live in a rural part of Mississippi where there is one small Catholic Church and many, many Protestant churches. There is one high school. My daughter is going through the high school now. There may be 5 or 6 of them to 1000 kids. It’s made her stronger and bolder about her Catholic Christian faith. Did the same for both my boys.

Was never afraid through 24 years active duty and 15 years DOD civilian. When asked to say grace for a unit event/meal, I would not hesitate to invoke Jesus' name - if they din't like it they could stop asking me or just have one of the "clergy" from the base do the "sanitized" honors.

I probably retired before the dynamics take a nose dive though.
