Please file charges. Subpoena the president.
Freedom of speech? Soon they will charge our representatives with treason for voting down a DemonRAT bill.
This is a White House site? A coequal branch of government?
Nothing is incredible anymore with this administration.
Treason against the obamanation is not the same as treason against the United States of America. Comrade dictator obama has repeatedly violated his oath of office and does not represent United States of America.
It was appropriate for Congress to warn Iran’s leaders that they would be making a treaty with him alone.
But the senators aren’t conduction negotiation with foreign powers. They disagree with the treaty that is being negotiated by obama. This is a complete rewriting of a law to make someone guilty
"The Logan Act (1 Stat. 613, 18 U.S.C. § 953, enacted January 30, 1799) is a United States federal law that forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments. It was intended to prohibit unauthorized United States citizens from interfering in relations between the United States and foreign governments.[2] The Act was passed following George Logan's unauthorized negotiations with France in 1798, and was signed into law by President John Adams on January 30, 1799. The Act was last amended in 1994, and violation of the Logan Act is a felony."
The people who are reporting these numbers are the same people who are reporting our “economic recovery.”
And Durbin’s visit to Baghdad?
Dissent is Patriotic...only if one is a leftist.
Anyone remember the human sheilds during the Iraq war...hailed as heroic by lefties.
I’m more concerned about the 53 traitors who didn’t sign the letter.
So the liberals finally discovered the Logan Act. Funny how they could recall it for Kerry, Kennedy, Bonior, McDermott, Pelosi, etc...
Never mind Mullah Obama’s treason, Hillary’s treason, and Kerry’s treason.
The Obamabots are on the march.
FWIW, here is a discussion of the Logan Act applicability with reference to this particular case:
http://www.lawfareblog.com/2015/03/logan-act/
From its beginning qualifications, “......American Citizens corresponding with Foreign Governments WITHOUT authorization......” 47 US Senators, acting as official representatives in an official capacity can be rightly interpreted as ‘authorization’.
Let them vent and feel good about signing a silly petition. Feeling good is what they’re all about. They certainly aren’t about the law, nor are their memories very long since there have been multiple instances where Democrats have done the same thing or worse.
And in a TV interview I saw over the weekend, Obama said that if they made a deal with Iran, that we could trust him that it was a good one. "Trust" and "Obama" used in the same sentence? That's laughable.
Please do, maybe it will give Republicans a backbone to start defending America from this administration.
It is interesting to note that opposition to Obama is now considered “treason”.
There has been only 1 prosecution of an American citizen for a violation of the Logan Act since 1799.
Now these moonbats want 47 prosecutions for Senators who are doing their sworn duty to uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
Frankly, if Obama thinks he can institute a treaty with our sworn enemy, Iran, without “authorization” from the Senate, then he is in violation of the Logan Act.
How about a White House petition to begin immediate impeachment proceedings against Obama and Biden?
