Thank you for your interest in ATF's proposed framework for determining whether certain projectiles are “primarily intended for sporting purposes” within the meaning of 18 U.S.C. 921(a)(17)(C). The informal comment period will close on Monday, March 16, 2015. ATF has already received more than 80,000 comments, which will be made publicly available as soon as practicable.
Although ATF endeavored to create a proposal that reflected a good faith interpretation of the law and balanced the interests of law enforcement, industry, and sportsmen, the vast majority of the comments received to date are critical of the framework, and include issues that deserve further study. Accordingly, ATF will not at this time seek to issue a final framework. After the close of the comment period, ATF will process the comments received, further evaluate the issues raised therein, and provide additional open and transparent process (for example, through additional proposals and opportunities for comment) before proceeding with any framework.
The ATF needs more time to invent and cook the statistics. Then they will be back. Expect to be called a “green bullet denier” when they do.

Keep in mind, the Maryland State militias were told to keep their arms at the armory and the Governor would issue the call to arms. Maryland was invaded by militias from other states, leading to serious riots in Baltimore, but the call to arms never came. The armories were seized by the invaders.
IOW... we are waiting for the heat to subside, check all the boxes like we are abiding by the law, play along and then we’ll start the ban.
Does keep and bear arms say anything about sporting purposes or ammo? Next they will say that it does not include bullets so the ban of all bullets is legal. You can keep your guns and use them all you wan to.

Pro Second Amendment folks should never use the term “FOR SPORTING PURPOSES and TARGET PRACTICE” in any argument where the government is attempting to ban ammo or firearms. The pro gun folks need to emphasize the intent of the Second Amendment was clearly to established a means to throw off a tyrannical government. Include in the argument(s) that this government by attempting to make illegal any ammunition is meant to disarm the people and is the very tyrannical act for which the Second Amendment was adopted and signed in to law. Call it what it is or the government will continue to twist and confuse the issue (as it has already in banning certain other firearms) and disarming the citizens will creep to completion.
Every alphabet agency of the Federal Government that can pass regulations on to the American People with the force of law needs to be abolished.
The reason for this announcement is that the proposed ban is galvanizing oppo to Emperor Zero and his party, at the time when they are trying to save Hillary's coronation. This is news management, nothing more. They will come back for our guns and ammo, again, and again, and again...

Congress is the only Law making Authority, but what we have allowed to occur is Congress allowed their authority to be usurped to the Executive branch and the Bureaucracy the enacted (unconstitutional in many cases), which makes your statement Oh So True and why this Government needs to be brought back down in size and refreshed on the Constitution and the restrains put upon it!
We did that last November.
We see how well that is working out in the Oligarchy that has neutered, compromised or silenced the bulk of them.

I agree with your statement of the root cause - but until and unless this people repent - we have no hope in retaining or restoring our liberties. None.
But if we do - and we can assume righteousness in our cause and actions because we as a people are made right with The Lord because of repentance, then the cost to remove the leavening will be very, very high. Because it will require us to start over from the foundation once established and rebuild it from there.
And people in power and people who benefit from tyranny are not going to yield their gains without bloodshed. What price are we willing to pay? The truth it is going to cost us more than our imaginations can fathom right now.
And also right now, we are not a people able to carry that banner, for we have not yet humbled ourselves.

The ATF is part of the Fascist Army of the government. They are mindless, armed puppets at the service of Progressive Tyrants. I have zero interest in them and I immediately dismiss and flush anything they say in public because it is almost certain to be a lie.
