I wonder if the University has a BAN on Rap Music? Do they PUNISH those that listen to RAP Music?? Have they shut down any other Fraternities for merely Playing RAP Music??

I would suggest that anytime a White Student hears a black person playing RAP or Singing to RAP or merely listening to RAP, they should record it and file a Formal Complaint of Racism and Sexism.
I guess this is far worse than if some white girls were clapping and dancing to vicious racial rap lyrics?

Years ago I went to a football game with a friend’s father in law. As one of the students directing traffic in the parking area directed us to park in a snowdrift the friend’s father in law imparted a little wisdom to us.
“There is no dumber creature on the face of the earth than a university student. The bigger the school, the dumber the beasts”.

Ironically, it is very unusual for fraternities to be all-white. I work with two of them and they are both “diverse”.
For instance, when I was active in the early 80’s we had members from Brazil, Lebanon, Sri Lanka and a few black members. We also had gay members which is really common in fraternities. Our closet door never stopped swinging.

If blacks can “write” lyrics using words that cause some folks to wet themselves, then the whitey wannabes who associate with the genre who want to “rap” to the crap can damn well repeat them.
And I don’t care in what capacity they do so either.
Either the word is to be shunned by all or accepted by all. No double standard or special privilege.
Here’s something that has puzzled me since my own days as a college student back in the late 70s, and as a military ROTC instructor 20 years later:
Why do colleges and universities, the very paragon of inclusion, tolerance and political correctness, still allow all-white and all-black fraternities and sororities? Go to almost any college campus and you’ll find that Greek row is the most segregated place on campus—and no one says a word.
Hypocrisy at its finest. On some campuses, the frat and sorority houses are actually owned by the college, so students pay a premium price to live there and it helps the institution’s bottom line. In other cases, influential alumni were “Greek” during their student days, and want to see the system preserved.
Personally, I don’t have a issue with fraternities and sororities on campus. But when the group photos of most chapters look like a meeting of the White Citizens Council or the New Black Panthers, I’d say the Greeks—and the host institution—have a problem. It’s more than ironic that many of the same students who turn out to protest a campus appearance by Ann Coulter or John Bolton then go back to a frat or sorority house that is more segregated than Alabama in the 1950s.
Seems several top OU football recruits have decommitted because of this..the Sooner student body will hang the fraternity, and NOT in effigy..
This was on a bus? You mean to tell me that college kids were chanting something objectionable on a bus? Impossible! I've never heard the like.(/sarc)
So this outrage wasn't even out in public where it could offend any actual person? So this is the strain-out-a-gnat standard we're adopting for racial offenses? How about jokes kids tell each other in the bathroom?
And does this level of inquiry go in more than one direction? Does this mean that we're going to open surveillance on black frat bros on their tour buses, and black girls on their sorority jaunts, and listen in on their parties, to hear what they say about white folks, Asians, Mexicans, and Jews? And are we going to start recording the things that are said about Jews (not the state of Israel, but Jews) and Christians at meetings and bus-rides and parties and hootenannies sponsored by CAIR and various other Muslim student organizations? . . . I didn't think so.
I think everyone should act with charity. My kids wouldn't take part in stuff like that. But as a big deal, this doesn't rate at all.
If they had actually lynched someone, the frat boys would have gotten better due process.
As far as I know, the university pres just saw a vid of folks being insulting and immature and therefore kicked them out.

If I heard my kids using that phrase, I would have a fast conversation about why that is not appropriate in today’s world.
In fact, when my odd were little my wfe and I heard them using “tiger by his toe” and we both looked at each other and chuckled a little bit. Not that we LIKED the old phrase, but because it was an example of how times have changed.
