Chairman Trey Gowdy knew about Clintons secret server six months ago, and that too is a scandal.
In assessing the Benghazi select committee headed up by Chairman Trey Gowdy (R., S.C.), there are two possibilities, and they are not mutually exclusive: (1) The committee is just a Potemkin probe erected by the Republican establishment to get restive conservatives to pipe down, and (2) the committee is incompetent.
The panel, of course, was commissioned by the Republican-controlled House to investigate the circumstances surrounding the September 11, 2012, attack in which al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorists killed Christopher Stevens, the U.S. ambassador to Libya, and three other Americans information-management officer Sean Smith and two former Navy SEALs, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, contract employees whose valor saved dozens of lives during the siege.
The select committees ten sleepy months of operation have not warranted much attention except to observe its lethargy. But questions about it arise thanks to the newly erupted Hillary Clinton e-mail scandal. Mostly, it is one question: Why is the scandal newly erupted?
The Benghazi massacre was the lowlight of Mrs. Clintons tenure as secretary of state. Suddenly this week, the public was informed, for the first time, that during those four tumultuous years, she conducted State Department business through a private e-mail system designed to evade government record-keeping requirements. The scheme is redolent of Clintonian hypocrisy: (snip)
Gowdy let something else slip while unburdening himself to Politico: he and his committee have known since last summer that Mrs. Clinton conducted business by private e-mail.

I believe Trey Gowdy is waiting to get ALL of the evidence.
Why should he leak info in dribs and drabs just to satisfy drooling news hounds.Play your cards close to the vest.and DON”T tip your hand.
Too many scandals get nickled and dimed to have small facts diffused so they become irrelevant or forgotten by the time the big day comes.Be it trial or open investigation.Sounds like a bit of character assignation going on here just because he doesn’t leak everything out just to satisfy a hungry impatient public.
Thank you for posting this article.
I hope all the Gowdy shoe lickers here take time to read.
Why hasn’t Gowdy issued a supeona for the “physical server”,
in addition to the e-mails?
How would one know the server has not been destroyed, or wiped clean
if it was not checked by the FBI? Government emails belong to US Taxpayers. We have every right to examine that server.
Jeff Session is one we can trust.
Dave Brat is another.
There are a handful more, but not many.
Most have sold their souls to The Cheap Labor Express.
You and I agree on many things.
However, why hasn’t Gowdy issued a supeona for the “physical server”
in addition to the emails.
He knew about this for 6 months, and only issued supeona’s after the
scandal was leaked?
Something is rotten with this picture.
Bingo!
It wasn’t the democrats that trashed a good conservative in Mississippi.
It was Haley Barbour, McConnell and all the other RINO’s that trashed
McDaniels.
Criticism does not equal attack. This is the sort of nonsense we hear from the Democrats. It’s even more silly when we hear it from someone claiming to be a conservative.
“I trust Gowdy more than anyone else in the House”
After the fiasco vote on Obama’s Cromnibus you still profess faith in the REPUbicans??
I have a bridge I would like to sell you. It appears to me you have too much money and little use for it.
Few here remember how Lindsy Graham became a hero during the Clinton Impeachment days. What I remember is no one suffered any penalty except the innocent victims.
Sixty years or so ago the wrestling circuit would bring in a mad Russian to insult all the local women and encourage all the virile males to come down town to see him get his comeuppance for insulting their wives and girl friends. That method still works today.
Trey Gowdy did absolutely nothing before the election and has done even less after the election, but he looks great lambasting those bureaucrats on TV, but then again so did Chris Cristy.
Maybe he can get Issa to help him write a letter showing that this time he is really, really, really mad.
You can indeed credit Trey with the 55,000 emails, but the point is there were probably 100s of thousands of emails that we will never know about because he did not subpoena her server and preserve them. Knowing the Clitons as we do we can be sure that she used government funds to set up her "Private" server.
If voting made any difference they wouldn't let us do it."

I’ll take door #1.
The regime in Versailles on the Potomac is only interested in keeping the masses in such a turmoil that the next scandal will be viewed as normal behavior.
Politicians are all liars, thieves and perverts. That’s the good news.
Please don’t think I am basing my decision on this piece of info....I know what I know.....just watch if you don’t believe it.
Indeed....
After the fiasco vote on Obamas Cromnibus you still profess faith in the REPUbicans??

A few, not many. But Trey Gowdy is at the top of my list. Ted Cruz is as well.

The server? I suspect Gowdy realizes that the prospects for him getting his hands on The Private Hillary Server is zippo. Not going to happen. I just don’t think any judge is going to support that idea.
Criticism does not equal attack.

OK. I’ll concede that point. But I won’t concede that he is right.
And yet six months later he issues a subpoena. The server is not hers nor are the contents of it, ask Sarah Palin about private emails.
I watch Trey perform all the time on YouTube but until someone pays for their criminal activity I call B$ on his performance. Like Daryl Issa he is all hat and no cattle.
I won't even bring up what I think of his close alliance with Rep. Luis Gutierrez.
Benghazi ping.
Let Republicanprofessor know if you want or off this ping list.
“one wonders exactly what has Gowdy been up to?”
We have no idea what info Trey has got. Maybee enough to really mess up Hillary if she testifies under oath. I guess we just have to wait and see. Gowdy is no fool.
