Having Obama (a “black” president) say we haven’t come far enough was the icing on the cake...

Like so many other parts of our history, when the last participants in the original events are in their graves it will simply become mythology. Then, we’ll be treated to having it injected into every movie made about anything; a black baseball player in a completely unrelated setting will have to point out that his grandfather participated in the Selma march, for example...

We’ve wasted 60 years of welfare bribes for nothing.

That's ten more years than LBJ said he'd have their votes. Turned out it worked...for them, sorta.

(Not counting the incredible damage it has done to their culture, the nation , education, the economy, et cetera.)

black have not come far enough!

Nah they are in charge of the white house, DOJ, and other departments. they get special rights like affirmative action where whites are discriminated against. They get cheaper mortgages than whites, they gave their own colleges, college funds etc, They are allowed to have open racism towards whites etc etc etc..

Sick of hearing how they are still put down and then use the past to further their excuses today.
Selma the movie was a flop because everyone is fed up of earing about it. Kids in schools every year are told about civil rights.
