Natika Bird says bullying killed her teenage daughter.
Carla Jamerson, who was 14, will never get her drivers license, graduate from high school or fulfill her dream of becoming a scientist.
She committed suicide in the downstairs bathroom of the home she shared with her mother, father and 9-year-old sister on the night of Feb. 27.
Bird said her oldest daughters death could have and should have been prevented.
She said she cannot recall a time when Jamerson was not picked on by her classmates, from kindergarten to middle school.
It was especially terrible at Canarelli Middle School in southwest Las Vegas, the school Jamerson most recently attended, Bird said. At one point, students at the school created a Facebook page in Jamersons name to spread rumors of pregnancy and sexual promiscuity.
They massacred her, Bird said Thursday.

Leftists were so gleefully anxious to remove any hint of Christian morality from public life, and here is the result.
Bullying is the animalistic rule of the jungle, the struggle for dominance and pecking order unchecked by any morality.
HOME SCHOOLING MUST HAVE NEVER CAME UP..... in conversation...
democrats?...
My young once hit a bully in the head with a clarinet case, on the school bus. Got in a lot of trouble, but it was worth it. Kid’s parents apparently thought is was justified, fortunately.
This PC crap is killing good kids and letting others get away with things.
Yesterday I mentioned that teens are merciless when they form a wolfpack to harrass someone. Social media only makes it easier to attack with perceived anonymity. Prayers for this girl who made a sad choice, that God may forgive her youthful weakness.
Most kids need to be taught what it means to be kind and compassionate. Some kids know full well what that means, but don’t care, since there is no immediate consequence to using the Net to ruin someone’s life. One way to combat this maybe to make parents of repeat offenders financially liable to pay for counseling or medical expenses, or tuition of the bullied child if there is enough proof.
I still favor trying to empower each child first. My first preference is to return christian prayer in schools, but too many of today’s young parents have grown up unchurched and suspicious of any benefits found in the Christian Church. More activity clubs, more martial arts classes, more relaxation techniques so you can learn to calm yourself. There won’t always be someone to rescue you from the mean people.
I am a Christian, but really hated prayer in the school. Many kids made a mockery of praying and many prayers were not in accordance with the rules of my own denomination. Prayers are best left out of public schools.
So, what does that say about the mother who chose to send her kid there?

Aren’t you glad the grammar police didn’t show up?
Tender kids...the world loses when they quit early.
No other kids came to her defense, as kids will not naturally do but must be taught to do....by two income parents too busy to think of anything but finding dinner before it gets too late as their starving kids just got picked up and homework time is so short and ...................survival of the fittest animals, while those that might bring compassion to the world are chewed and spit out.
Enjoy your resulting world, little animals.
Arent you glad the grammar police didnt show up?
Grammar police are easily baited.....
Sometimes you can hook a BIG ONE..
My heart breaks for this girl. I know what she experienced and was suicidal myself from at least this age through most of high school. Praise God He intervened in my life. I pray parents listen to their children and if necessary remove their kids from the bullies paths.
I have told my kids that if they encounter a bully, they’re allowed to use force to defend themselves or someone else being bullied. I will have their back.
I told them also that if they ever start a fight, I’ll show them how it’s ended.
They’ve been good so far, and my seven year old son punched one kid in the face after he was terrorizing the kindergarten kids. I went to bat for him, and said he’s only following his dad’s orders.
It’s a private Christian school, so they know where I stand.
On another note, I’m sorry for the loss of your son. As a vet I fully understand the dangers and stresses. I can’t imagine what I put my parents through. May God bless you and give you peace.
Long story short - when someone didn’t like me I figured they could kiss my @ss. When I left school I never looked back and only once in a blue moon do I think I’d love to lord over them what good life I have now.
But it’s terrible how many people have trouble shaking it off. Very wrong and very sad.
You’re blaming the mother ????????????????
Pathetic.
.
I don’t understand this. when I was in the 7th and 8th grades, I was the one the school decided needing bullying (and badly...once one or two got on the bandwagon, almost the whole school did). I cried a lot, I suffered a lot every minute of every school day, I got no support from teachers and my mom told me to just “brush it off,” so no help there. Never once did I think about committing suicide. I don’t understand this trend.
School is a wolf pack and once your kid gets singled out as the omega its all over. You can beg the teachers to make the other kids be civil but they will never be friends. The best thing to do is to pull your kid out of that school before too much damage is done.
The mother is blaming the school district????
Pathetic.
What I’m saying is she chose to put her kid in that school. If the school is responsible for killing her daughter, what does that say about her choice to send her daughter there? Think a little bit.
I agree....it didn’t occur to me either and anyway...why give them the satisfaction??? As they say, long term solution to a short term problem.
Watch some of the “reality” shows, Progressive politics and a total lack of religion and you can readily understand the development of a large segment of the population being little more than heathens.
