A small plane piloted by Harrison Ford has crash-landed at an L.A. golf course ... but we're told the actor has survived. TMZ has learned ... Ford was piloting what appears to be a vintage 2-seater fighter plane Thursday ... when something went wrong and he crashed into Penmar golf course in Venice, CA. We're told Ford suffered multiple gashes to his head and was bleeding. Two doctors who happened to be at the golf course rushed over to treat the actor. Emergency personnel arrived to the scene a short time later. Ford was transported to a nearby hospital. 72-year-old Ford is a longtime aviator -- piloting planes and helicopters -- and has crashed multiple times in the past. Story developing ...

Ryan Aircraft in San Diego built the Spirit of Saint Louis.
It would help if he was sitting in the pilot’s seat.
WAIT, wait!! ... you’ve got to finish Blade Runner and Star Wars ... FIRST ... before you go killin’ yourself!
Indeed! With time for those without appointments.
A power off landing in a plane that light and easy to fly should be a piece of cake. I do not understand why the all seem to bend the airplane when this happens. I can land a Cessna 150 on a par three, engine out one eye shut.
LOL! That phrase leapt right out at me, too.
Wouldn’t that be a Kalashnikov B52 Fighter, with a Glock AR-15 modification package and a 30 round magazine rack?
May be he’s the billy joel of the air.
Prayers for Mr. Ford and hope is okay.
He has spoken in support of Obama and also in support of Israel.
That’s what I thought-it looked like a PT-22. I read somewhere they were notoriously hard to fly.
This reminds me of the crash with a small plane in my county not too long ago. The pilot, a doctor... had crashed at the same airport two months before. He went out and bought a more expensive plane. His last crash went into a home and killed a young Mom with her two kids (one being a small infant). Sometimes in life... there are warnings. Some heed them.. some don’t.
He needs a safer hobby like carpentry.
LOLOLOLOL - for someone like George Lucas!!
He may be very experienced....but sometimes that gets overridden
Learning experiences, NOT.
At least Ford didn’t hit any golfers.
LOL! At least he doesn’t have a ditz for an Ex.
Golf course on a Thursday. Better than an ER.
Some golfers suck so bad they pull planes out of the sky.
I read the same thing you stated about the plane. Back in the 1950’s a close friend and I considered buying one but did not.(It was more a pipe dream than an actual potential buyer seller deal.)
Two doctors who happened to be at the golf course...Gee, what are the chances of that being the case?
