Walker says he'll sign 20-week abortion ban

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) plans to sign a Wisconsin bill banning abortions after 20 weeks and supports similar legislation at the federal level, he says in an open letter, a shift from his refusal to discuss the matter before his 2014 reelection.

"As the Wisconsin legislature moves forward in the coming session, further protections for mother and child are likely to come to my desk in the form of a bill to prohibit abortions after 20 weeks. I will sign that bill when it gets to my desk and support similar legislation on the federal level," Walker writes to the Pro-life group the Susan B. Anthony List. "I was raised to believe in the sanctity of life and I will always fight to protect it."

Walker has long opposed abortion — he sponsored a 1998 bill while in the state legislature banning abortions after 20 weeks and has signed other laws in the state restricting access to abortions and defunding Planned Parenthood — but during his tough 2014 reelection fight he refused to say whether or not he'd support a ban in the state.

Oh, My! The Baby Killing Liberals in, ‘The People’s Republik of Madistan’ (and ‘Milwaukeestan’ where black abortion is BIG business!) are going to really be in a snit when they’re not allowed to indiscriminately kill children up until the 11th hour!

This is gonna be rich! How do they defend this? Oh, wait. They’ll go for the BOGUS ‘privacy’ CRAP that got us Roe v. Wade in the first place.

60 million dead babies since then can’t be wrong! *SPIT*

the contrast between walker and the GOPe (whose feminist wing aborted the same bill) is stunning.

Not trying to get personal, but I will..have been trying for baby #1 for over a year. We have some fertility issues but pray everyday for a miracle.
20 weeks = 5 month baby, a baby! Literally makes me sick that anyone would consider this ban to be considered “war on woman, reproductive rights, taking away woman’s healthcare etc..” I don’t care what political side you’re on, it’s perversely wrong on so many levels. Libs literally have no heart, no soul.
& when it comes to global hoax warming, they’re the party of “science”, take a look at a 20 week old baby..& tell me what science says about baby vs fetus at this stage in pregnancy.

Thank you for your prayers & kind words..gives us hope that a miracle will happen soon. Never thought we’d be considering the IVF route. Not only cost unaffordable for us but so is the thought/cost of it not happening the natural, God given way. It’s definitely been a rough year, both emotional & physical. But we haven’t given up hope!

Immoral, unconstitutional legislation.

A friend of ours welcomed his first Grandson a few months ago...at about 22 weeks. The little boy weighed less than 1-1/2 pounds and has had almost NO problems; no surgeries; no “scary” moments...nothing but a couple of very minor infections. He just passed his “due” date and is about to go home.

They won’t know for certain about developmental delays until later of course..but so far he shows no signs of being any different at all from a full term baby. He just sailed right along...seems crazy with that tiny size!

When I debate liberals on this, I ask them "when does life begin"? Invariably, I get the "nobody knows".

So, I suggest that we place a limit on abortions up until the time medicine can save the child.

Not one liberal can dispute that.

They also can’t reasonably dispute the unalienable, individual right to live, and the constitutional requirement that all persons, in all jurisdictions, must be accorded the equal protection of the laws.

Which means ALL must be protected, no matter their gestational age.

Everyone knows when human life begins. If they tell you they don’t know, they’re lying.

I see there are a lot of “violence against women act” but not much “ violence against pregnant woman act” and no “pregnant woman protection acts”...

Yep - and they also ignore it and tell us it has no relevance. That's because they know that once it is deemed "life", abortions become premeditated murder - a capital offence...
