Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a frontrunner in many 2016 GOP presidential polls in recent weeks, has come out swinging against the deal House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell just cut with congressional Democrats to fund President Obamas executive amnesty.
The basis of his opposition to the deal is twofold.
First, he doesnt agree with the way it surrenders Congress power of the purse to Obama through at least the end of September, the current fiscal year.
Second, Walker is furious that Democrats who publicly stated many times they opposed the presidents actions didnt follow through and vote their stated positions.
Also, Walkerwhose state of Wisconsin is part of the Texas-led 26-state lawsuit against the presidents actionssays that in addition to states fighting this in court, the Congress needs to do its job to stop Obama, a job that Congress has thus far failed at. Federal judge Andrew S. Hanen has put Obamas executive amnesty on hold until appeals are completed in the court systemsomething the administration has reluctantly agreed to comply with.
The Governor was one of the first to join the lawsuit that has been successful, at least on this initial technicality, Walker spokeswoman Kirsten Kukowski tells Breitbart News. He hopes to prevail through the courts but he believes that the Congress needs to preserve the power of the purse to fight this overreach by the President. Democrats have questioned the presidents overreach in the past but didnt hold him accountable when given the opportunity.
This draws a sharp contrast between Walker and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who hasnt taken any position on whether Congress should use the power of the purse to stop Obamas executive amnesty. In fact, Bushs team hasnt responded to requests....

The posturing pair need to be impeached.
Rubio has already shown his betrayal of the citizens with last years Rubio Gang amnesty bill.
No Rubio.
Besides that, in spite of the bogus polls a lot of little folk across the political spectrum are mad as hell about the invasion....it's costing jobs, ruining neighborhoods, and distracting from their children's educations. That's what brought people to voting Republican last election, and we were treated like yesterday's garbage by the Republican establishment. Maybe Rubio can redeem himself, but not for this time round.
“Cute Gif, but Ive seen that many times in real life. If Junior is lucky, he has a mom or dad to say. Stop. Thats enough rubbing the dog. Let him take his nap. If you keep rubbin you may get nipped. Then everybodys mad at the dog.”
I’ve watched for a solid 10 minutes now and that kid never seems to want to stop rubbing that dog. On a good note, the dog doesn’t look like he would ever bite him. I’ll keep watching and let you know if something changes.
Walker is sounding better all the time. I hope he stays on the side of the citizens and the rule of law.
After the current occupant of the Oval office, we’re going to need someone who will uphold the rule of law, because this one won’t.
Yes.
Appreciate your points about Rubio’s “baggage”. I was thinking that Florida is a key electoral state and that Rubio wouldn’t be prez so his influence would be limited. VP’s get pushed into the background quicker than you can say the word “inauguration”. Having said that, you don’t want to be associated with the immigration mess. Its a liability for sure.

Then why is he in the GOP? :)
Especially when you consider he just called out the big guns from the GOPe. He's apparently decided to try and win without them.
I like Walker...
Good question.
The bold move would be for the conservatives in the GOP (there are some) to found the Freedom Party.
Jettison the baggage of the GOP and within 4 years the GOP goes the way of the Whigs.
Excellent suggestion. I’m ready to join.
The GOP is a toxic mess that is rotting away by the hour.
Rubio would not be a bad establishment Vice President on a “unity” ticket.
it usually works that way. Reagan had to take Bush.
C'mon, Walker endorsed a hispanic domestic terrorist Cesar Chavez Day in Wisconsin only last year, which is no different that DeBlasio mandating that school children celebrate islam Days with days off from school!
Evolved? Changed-his-mind? In such a short time? Way too convenient, now that he wants to run for President and needs the conservative grassroots to campaign for him.
He is a hypocrite duping conservatives into voting against their own self-interests, of jobs going to illegals, access to quality healthcare only going to illegals, and an appreciation for illegal culture over American patriotism.
If you haven't lived the American barrio experience, like I have, you do not have a clue, about the anti-American ideology that will be infecting your very own neighborhoods, as tens of millions of illegal aliens converge en masse into your conservative comfort zone.
Walker RIGHT NOW can prove he truly stands with conservatives, because as he is a sitting governor, he has plenty of opportunity to demonstrate how committed he is against amnesty by ruthlessly enforcing laws that punishes Wisconsin businesses for employing illegals, and also denying access to scarce financial resources to illegals in Wisconsin.
Until Walker proves WITH ACTION, NOT WORDS his opposition to amnesty, you really should question his motives and reluctancy to do the right thing as Governor, and that is use the current opportunity of using the State of Wisconsin as a social laboratory to prove that American citizens can live safe and secure in their neighborhoods, without fear of illegal aliens destroying their lawn-and-order way-of-life.
Sit down and think about it.
The problem is that conservatives’ definition of what freedom is differs from the dictionary definition. True liberty is still anathema to those who call themselves conservative.
If Marco (which way is the wind blowing)
Rubio’s name is on any ballot I will pass
He proved he is not smart enough nor honest enough to get my vote.
In other words he has no integrity.
“Then why is he in the GOP? :)”
Unfortunately the path to election for a Conservative is still through the Republican primary.
LOLOL!
Not his fight. He's a Governor, not a Senator or Congressman.
Walker endorsed a hispanic domestic terrorist Cesar Chavez Day in Wisconsin only last year
ROFL. That equates to him supporting amnesty?
Evolved? Changed-his-mind?
All he did was make statements supporting comprehensive immigration reform, which was more of a statement against Congress and Obama not doing their jobs in securing the border and supporting real immigration reform, than supporting amnesty itself.
Until Walker proves WITH ACTION, NOT WORDS
Never proposed or signed any pro-illegal legislation while Governor (i.e. in-state tuition for illegals, IDs and driver's license, etc).
