Did Netanyahu change some minds? Democrats slammed the Israeli leader's address

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu left a partisan Congress roiling in the wake of his controversial speech on Tuesday, with Republicans and Democrats largely split on how the dramatic address was received.

Progressive Democrats slammed the Israeli leader's address and Republicans felt vindicated and emboldened by a speech that brought nearly every member of Congress to their feet and drew whoops of approval from a packed gallery.

Netanyahu sought to rally members of Congress and public opinion against the pending Iran nuclear deal under negotiation, but his hawkish rhetoric and break from diplomatic protocol rankled some Democrats.

Others, though, suggested he may have moved the needle.

Rep. Steve Israel, a member of the House Democratic leadership, called Netanyahu "very persuasive" and said he could not support the deal "as it's been described up to now."

"He changed minds," Israel said. "The question is, how many minds did he change? But I thought he did a very effective job."(continued)

The Democrats are stuck following a petulant, childish leader.

Bibi was speaking to four audiences:

1) Obama. He never listens to anything he doesn’t want to hear, so there wasn’t a chance at success here.
2) The Congress. He wants them to grow a pair and stop Obama from a Munich deal. Whether he succeeds depends on what 3) does.
3) The American people. He wants them to scream loudly enough at the Congress, and the initial response would seem to indicate he has at least temporarily succeeded.
4) Iran. They won’t admit it, but the mullahs are mad as jahannam that this little satan won’t bow down and accept his dhimmitude. Since this is the equivalent of Churchill telling Hitler that his country will never ever surrender, Iran is likely to double down on their nuclear program, as well as telling Kerry during their “secret” meeting that we have to squish the Bibi-bug as a pre-req to further negotiations. Obama will try, but God has His own plans for Israel, and while America may have a part in it, King-Saul-Obama and his minions will not.

And right after the speech was over, Boehner and his entourage voted with the dems to enable and finance the invasion of the US. Why should I be anything but disgusted that Boehner and all those who voted with him care about the sovereignty of Israel more than they care about the sovereignty of the US? Who’s running the party, anyway?

""He changed minds," Israel said. "The question is, how many minds did he change?"

Of course a few minds were changed by the speech, yet not enough to make a difference. The Regime, aided by the media, will just double down and do what is needed to achieve their ideological goals.

Mea Culpa?

Do not believe a THING Steve Israel has to say about this speech changing minds. He is a 100% dyed in the wool leftist. His words may support Netenyahu but his actions, his votes never will.

Oddly enough, Obama’s insane pre-reaction to Bibi’s speech changed more minds than the speech itself.

Democrats slammed the Israeli leader's address

In other words, they freaked out because their evil messiah, the muslim queen obama and his plans were being exposed.
