MONTREUX, Switzerland (Reuters) - Iran on Tuesday rejected as "unacceptable" U.S. President Barack Obama's demand that it freeze sensitive nuclear activities for at least 10 years but said it would continue talks on a deal, Iran's semi-official Fars news agency reported.
Iran laid out the position as the U.S. and Iranian foreign ministers met for a second day of negotiations and as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a stinging critique of the agreement that they are trying to work out.
Iran's Mohammed Javad Zarif and the United States' John Kerry met a day after Obama told Reuters that Iran must commit to a verifiable halt of at least 10 years on sensitive nuclear work for a landmark atomic deal to be reached.
"Iran will not accept excessive and illogical demands," Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif was quoted as saying by Fars.
"Obama’s stance ... is expressed in unacceptable and threatening phrases ... ," he reportedly said, adding that talks with Kerry in Switzerland would nonetheless carry on.

The Saudis are cool with Israel using their airspace. They fear Iran even more. Things could get dicey very fast.

Interesting how things line up in a power vacuum. And that sucking sound heard ‘round the world is the global power vacuum caused by the squatter in the white hut destroying 70 years of American foreign policy.
I am at a loss of words how this traitor president has done everything he could to benefit our enemies in their goal of our defeat.
Unfortunately, the average obama zombie will not wake up until after the nuclear first strike, if at all. Whether from a resurgent Russia, or extremist Iran, or North Korea, we will get exactly what we deserve from our weakness in the face of evil.
Iran is hoping Obama will capitulate and give them everything they want.
They’re not even going to accept a fig leaf to cover up the betrayal of Israel and America’s Arab allies like a 10 year sunset clause.
Iran wants it all or no deal.
No matter what is “agreed” upon, Iran will simply do as they please and insist that they are abiding by the “agreement”.
How about a treaty for a 7-year period that prohibits Iranian nuclear development and guarantees Israel’s security?
