I sincerely wish that GOP candidates who cannot win the presidency would simply not run and save us all the trouble. Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Lindsey Graham, Rick Perry none of these people is going to be the next president of the United States and each of them could do his country and his party a service by staying out of the race. Rand Paul and Mike Huckabee both stand a slim shadow of a ghost of a chance but I wish theyd drop out, too. Presidential Candidate is not supposed to be a prestigious line on your CV. Its something you become when you think you have a real opportunity to do some good to your native land.
As for those who have a path to victory Scott Walker, Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz I will now tell you which one is the truly viable candidate, the only Republican who could actually win the general.
The Republican who can win the general is whichever one realizes that he is running against the news media.
The Democrats have nothing. Their presumptive candidate is a corrupt old crone who has lied to and double-dealt this country far too long. Their current president has done us the favor of showing us the utter worthlessness of the leftist agenda. He has made the collective life of the country worse at every level except the executive level. When it comes to the Democrats and their philosophy, the white is coming off the sepulcher.
But while the left has no practical or moral legitimacy and no candidate who can plausibly represent even their empty promises, they do have one weapon left: the news media. NBC News, ABC News, CBS News, CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post each one of these corrupt mouthpieces and all their little acolytes and satellites not only speak for the Democrats but seek to destroy anyone who stands against them. Weve seen the signs in these last weeks as Scott Walkers star has risen and the Democrat toadies have rushed out to hound him with meaningless questions in hopes of a gotcha moment.
Do you believe in evolution? Is Barack Obama a Christian? Does Barack Obama love America? And soon to come: Do you believe in abortion in cases of rape and incest? Even worse, if a Republican candidate fumbles any of these answers, Candy Crowley wont even rush in to help him out!
So who are you voting for in your 3rd party?
I think you’re both subversive trolls.
Libertarian Party is just a Democrat adjunct.
It’s not conservative.
Anyone can vote for anyone they want.
Just don’t complain if you choose to vote in a way that abets leftism, or at best, is irrelevant.
And I think that you are a RINO living, RINO enabling, GOPE troll.
Let me tell you something, I do not give a ****ing s*** about the damn GOP anymore.
They can go to Hell, and so can everyone who supports these slithering snakes.
Raft played the gangster a bit too well : )
See my post #87 - if you can read past the first line, unlike the other RINO lover.
Ted Cruz CAN win! And that’s why the GOPe needs to get him out of the way before he gains too much momentum.
I don’t care who you say you care about, but the fact is you only say you hate repubs, except for some imagined 3rd party candidate
It is obvious that you are a libertarian, and voting libertarian is your hope for 2016.
*Depends on a couple things. Ill vote for Gary Johnson if he runs on the libertarian ticket*
Are you now claiming that you reject the libertarian platform?
Meanwhile, Boehner & McConnell just destroyed the United States, barring one judge who will be ignored.
I don’t think I said anything at all about some imagined 3rd party candidate.
What I did say is that the GOP is a bunch of slithering snakes, and that they are, and no I won’t be voting for them, or listening to them at all for any reason.
You can if you want to, but I ain’t gonna.
I read all the posts troll. You’re too far over the top to be taken seriously and you won’t name who you support.
I’ll be writing in Ted Cruz if I have to. (Meaning if he doesn’t get the nomination, troll).
Anybody notice Palin, smiling with admiration for Bibi, standing up in the gallery today?
Put the crayons down and go back and reread. I clearly said I would vote for Gary Johnson as a Libertarian. I've also said I would love to vote for Cruz, if he runs 3rd Party (anything BUT GOP). I will NOT vote GOP, period.
...protest too much....
I'm afraid that Ted Cruz may be the only candidate that fears God, loves the truth and hates covetousness.
But if it's not God's will that Cruz prevails then I leave you with this quote:
"Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard." - H. L. Mencken
Why are you pushing such a radical lefty, who attacked Obama for being too anti-gay?
"Libertarian nominee for President and former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson today said hes "disappointed" with President Obamas position on gay marriage. Obama told ABC Wednesday he would let each individual state decide the gay marriage question instead of seeking federal protection of the right to marry. Johnson noted that more than 30 states already ban same sex marriage in one way or another. In a statement, Johnson said, "Instead of insisting on equality as a US Constitutional guarantee, the President has thrown this question back to the states. When the smoke clears, Gay Americans will realize the President's words have gained them nothing today and that millions of Americans in most states will continue to be denied true marriage equality . I guess the President is still more worried about losing Ohio, Colorado, North Carolina and Virginia than he is in doing the right thing. What is the President saying--that he would eat a piece of cake at a gay wedding if the state the happy couple lives in allows it ?. Where is the leadership? While I commend him for supporting the concept of Gay marriage equality, I am profoundly disappointed in the President."
Oh. Libertarian. Open / No borders, anti-Christian, pro abortion, legal drugs, isolationist. Makes sense why you don’t like republicans now.
Oh, whatever that means.
As far as I am concerned, your support for the GOP equates to support for the Democrat party.
Same, same.
The one who definitely can NOT win is Jeb Bush.
